This is basically the thread version of Harden's "They're not even that good."

 

They say nothing good happens after midnight.

That was after the 109-105 win over the Clippers, their 4th straight victory after starting 0-3. You thought they turned the corner. Little did you know.

They then had 3 days off, proceeded by a loss to the then-winless Brooklyn Nets.

They've only had one win, vs Portland, thanks to a Corey Brewer miracle three.

This thread jinxed us so hard. I fully believed we'd have an opposite record right now.

I'm so depressed, and I feel like I need a break from the Rockets so I'm not so upset about this sht. It's so bad. I've watched EVERY game I could for 24 years and can't believe I actually feel compelled to intentionally miss games...

 

1-6 since this thread started, with a coach fired and a players only meeting.

I wouldn't expect that all those teams are easy pickings. I wouldn't expect any team to be a guaranteed win for the Rockets at this point.

However, it is a stretch where a good team SHOULD rack up some much needed wins. So the interesting question becomes, "What happens when they don't do that?"

Probably nothing, unfortunately. Bickerstaff has been guaranteed the job for the rest of the year, which I thought was too generous. We had better not miss any better coaching possibilities because of that. The next 20 games will be enough to see whether J.B. has what it takes to start turning around a team that's quite frankly lost its mind.

I feel a hard rebuild coming, maybe starting as soon as next year.
