What do you and your Significant Other butt heads over the most?

Some of these responses made me chuckle because they are too real. Ha.

The "not listening" thing...she'll get mad if I don't respond to something she says, even if it wasn't a question or didn't need a response. I have to respond with *something* like an ok, uh-huh, etc. otherwise she asks why she is even talking if she's just talking to herself. lol.

I leave drawers partially open and lights on when I am home - I don't like walking into a dark room and stumbling to find the light switch, sue me.

 

We bicker a lot. Don't get into too many arguments.



Sometimes she says I spend too much time on my phone, although she spends just as much as I do, and it's not a ton.

I have a second job that I work at about a weekend a month. She doesn't like it. Says I'm trying to get away from her. Not the case. I just like the people there. I absolutely don't need it, though, and I think I'm going to tell them I'm done as of the new year, so she's happy.

 

A guy has to be ready for action, I tell you what.

 

I hardly play any video games; maybe 5 hours total every 7 days. But for some reason, every time I do play, I get a "don't you want to spend time with me?" Wtf lady we've been doing things together all day. I just need a 1-2 hour break and then we'll start up again. It's just a little annoying because we she needs some space/alone time I just nod and GTFO. I have no desire to guilt trip.

She didn't do this with anything else, just video games. I don't get it.

But that's a small complaint. Other than that, it's all good; we're both generally easy going people. Been together for 6 years and married for 2, so I've been told that we're still in the "Honeymoon phase" and that it will get "harder" so whatev. I don't see it, but who knows.

 

LOL ... I guess it's the temperature! I like cold weather and she's always running away from it! AC in the car, Ac in the house and even where we vacation! She always wants something tropical with a beach and I always gravitate towards the snow, preferably mountains with snow!

Temperature. I like the AC way down. She likes it cold too, but not as cold as I do.

Other than that though, not much, which leads to a happy marriage.

 

Often times I take a big dump and then kind of partially wipe, and then immediately hustle over to the shower where I do a complete undercarriage rinse. She observed this one time and found it to be gross.

 

I'm on her side. Two pillows under my head, one on top of head (for muffling), one between my legs, one under my arm, and one on my back. It's like living in a genie bottle.

 

and, one for suffocating her when she won't shut up.

How old are you to still use Manilow as short-hand for bad music, I would have thought Kenny G and Neil Diamond references would have supplanted that by now.

 

The roles in our relationship are well established. I make the money that is sufficient to cover the needs and desires of my family. I have complete control over the finances and distribution of income to bills, investments and charity. My wife has access to an account but does not know the limits available, only that it had never been declined. I expect zero economic input or support from my wife. She keeps the house clean and properly designed. She also ensures proper schooling is presented to out son. If it is expensive, she simply tells me the address and amount and I ensure it is paid. If she wants a new car, she tells me and I get another one. She raises our son and teaches him proper manners. I typically am working and see him from 6 pm to 8pm and all day on Sunday's.

Sometimes we fight over a mistress in Ireland. Mostly my wife only wants reassurance that her position trumps the Ireland. The truth is, the mistress is a diversion and someone else to support. Occasionally we all eat together or vacation toghether with the mistress being subordinate.

So other than the day to day issues, my wife and I fight over political causes.

 

i go offshore once every month or 2 for about 1-3 weeks. At first she says having a baby will make her less lonely. then when we had our son, she says shes tired handling him even though she stays with my aunt and cousin when I'm away. The aunt takes care of the boy when wife and I are both working in the office (she lives with us on weekdays).
When I'm home, she sort of expects me to handle him more than her share because I need to make up for loss time.
Last time we argued was because I didnt get her an actual birthday present. Instead, I spent 3 days with her, 1st day was just us 3, 2nd day was dinner with my family, and 3rd day with her family, and we went out to look for something for her. but i didnt really like what she picked, and she gave up looking.
I actually got her a gift, its a rather expensive lingerie that I plan to give her when we go to Thailand next week. I didnt want to give her on her birthday because I was leaving that day to go offshore and well, no point of her getting it til I come back.
we got an argument over the phone about it after I already left home. escalated to a huge row, but on text, and she left my aunt's home and stayed in our apartment with our son and she was planning to leave him with her friend's babysitter when she went to work. manage to calm her down over the weekend and she went back to my aunt's place.
she basically threatened to leave my son with a stranger while i was away and not able to do anything about it.

 

Move on.
