Gotta say this is the golden age of television, as original story lines are moving away from movies and moving towards tv series. Which shows are you currently watching, and how would you rank them based on their current season?

    1. Fargo
    2. Gotham
    3. You're the Worst
    4. Nathan for You
    5. South Park
    6. Walking Dead
    7. Last Man on Earth
    8. The League

For the sake of discussion, let's open this up to all active shows. Even if the current season isn't presently showing. I'll update my list when I get the chance.

Like your list, except I think Gotham is not very good. This coming from a hardcore Batman fan...

Have you watched the second season? It's much better than the first, IMO

I haven't seen all the shows so I can't really rate them.

Shows on the list that I know are good are:

    Last Man on Earth
    Walking Dead
    The League
    You're the Worst

However, Grinder is probably as good if not better than any of those.

Gotham kind of went off of the rails for me this season. I think The Flash is the best superhero show on TV.

Not airing at the moment, but Game of Thrones is my favorite television show.

I couldnt get through the first few episodes of Gotham. Flash is the best super hero series out imo.

No Empire or Agents of Shield?

And I agree with the poster above. Flash is damn good.

I just finished b*stard executioner. Good season 1 to fill the Game of Thrones void.

    Game of Thrones
    Better Call Saul
    Louie

Those are my top 3, in no particular order.

Other than that, eh, I could take our leave the rest. But I do watch Gotham & South Park. Heroes Reborn has been a huge disappointment. Agents of Shield is sometimes interesting and sometimes not. The Soup is funny, though it's being cancelled in December. Daredevil, if that counts. Master of None has been good enough.

    I think that's all...

Forgot: Mr Robot & House of Cards (though the last season was lacking)

    Do Netflix shows count?

    If so I would say:

    Narcos
    The Walking Dead
    The Killing

I can't think of any other shows at the moment.

    Joker Kid .. . . . . beyond that meh

    . . . . .yea. . about that . . .

Limitless is alot better than I expected.
It is light hearted but still moves the plot
feels more USA Network than one of the big Three

Minority Report is ok . . .not bad but is not MUST SEE TV
The Black List is still solid to me. . . .
iZombie - Highly underrated. . . like Limitless it is light hearted
Agents of Shield is not stand out but not great

Flash is the best of the hero shows . . but could use a few improvements
I think it is too heavy to launch the new shows than focusing on its own show
[Introducing all the characters for the Heros of Tomorrow thing]

Arrow has fallen off but still decent
Too many meh shows and too many non hero storylines

Still not into Supergirl but alot of folx like it.

Lol, I'm actually not surprised. I really liked the show at the beginning but was losing interest and getting bored watching. Would play my DVR'd episodes of it as background noise while I was cooking or cleaning or whatever

I would say that the actual golden age of TV was when Lost started and perhaps when Breaking Bad ended. Those two shows had two things. Lost had a story that people talked and followed online, which created word of mouth. While Breaking Bad showed how a story could be fleshed visually out that before only books could do, because movies were too limited by their length.

You now have Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead carrying the torch being inserted into pop culture and social media.

As far the best shows. I have not seen anything as good as Breaking Bad in my opinion. But I do not watch much TV these days unlike a few years ago I was watching a lot of different things.

I watched the first 2 or 3 episodes of AoS, but I just couldn't get into it.

The Killing is very good. Watched it a while ago. I'm surprised it didn't get more popular.

Those are all brilliant, but I'm talking about shows that are currently playing ;)

BB is one of my favorite shows of all time. Never tried getting into Lost.

We're in the golden age of slow, boring, and pretentious TV. Gotham is the poster child of when it goes wrong. It's basically the Man From Atlantis trying so hard and failing to be serious and gritty.
