it will be sad when in the first round it comes down to a coaching decision and "JBB" cant answer the bell, after which the battle cry will be 'next year' and the window closes so fast you barely have a chance to say 'what happened'. This team needs a championship caliber coach, not a rookie there is no time to learn on the fly.
Except for game 6 against the Clippers... the single-most important game that propelled them to the WCF.
Jvg would have also had an awesome summer camp and not just assume everybody was going to be in shape. Its not just Harden, the whole team regressed.
people asking for JVG? oh how we have quickly forgotten! http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=87744 http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=104959
JVG would make this team's play unwatchable. That Rockets team back then was very difficult to watch. Too bad Adelman is retired. JVG should stay as a commentator. He's really good at it and the only person who doesn't talk smack about the Rox.
Yup. McHale's finest hour. Any coach with less cojones would have put Harden in, because leaving him out, when all the talking heads are assuming you'll put him in, is defying the CW and putting your job on the line. McHale has many flaws, but cowardice ain't one of them.
