Credit to JB for having just the day to prepare. Fingers crossed he continues this.

I just wonder if Les came down to Harden at the end of the 3rd and threatened to trade him to Phili if he doesn't improve.

But glad the boys pulled their fingers out and got the W.

    JR????

haha I'll type up what I remember.

He said Terry will be the starting guard going forward. Hardens comfortable with him and it's not a knock on Lawson, he wants him to get use to having the ball on the court.

He talked about how it's weird walking without McHale but he has been prepared for his for a long time. McHale has helped him a lot.

Rockets live and die by those shots they took tonight. We moved the ball well.

Defense picked up. Harden looked focus, committed.

Spoke to Harden and let him know he has the talent, the fame. What's next to be in the big class is to basically win and he has to motivate players around him.

Players spoke up in the meeting to the coaches and the ones who spoke up the loudest, played the biggest tonight.

Good & needed win for a struggling team.

    That said,...

    44 - FORTY-FOUR - three point attempts. They made 14 of them. 31.8%

    WHY?!!?

When in doubt, jack up a three! WHY?! It's as if they don't know how to do anything else!

    Meanwhile, Rockets big men:
    Howard 2-5
    Jones 2-5
    Capela 2-5
    Harrell 0-0

    Dwight Howard last 3 games: 4-6, 2-4, 2-5 = 8-15

15 attempts! No, you don't have to run the offense through him but keep him/your bigs involved!

    Instead it's 33333333333333333333333333333333333333333333.

I heard something that Moreys stats state if they shoot 31% from 3's a night, it's equivalent to shooting 50% from 2s?

He speaks very well he sounds like the Dali lama :)

    He said:
The team met and the leaders took responsibility
Said have to give that kind of effort on every play
Talked about him getting the news abiut McHale then him meeting to get this job
Said McHale gave them all hugs
Said he has been waiting for this opportunity and feels ready
Said he believes in this system (3's) cause it has worked
Said Lawson wasn't benched for doing anything wrong
He is concentrating on Memphis now

He really talked like he has a great philosophy ! I can see the guys wanting to play for him! It's one game we shall see !!!!

This game was horribly officiated. The Rockets need to send tape to the league regarding the officiating hypocrisy. When nothing changes, send more. And more. This is getting stupid.

I wouldn't call it terrible. His shot okay yeah that was terrible. But he was engaged, played defense and got his guys good looks

The lack of balance should definitely be addressed.

For me, it comes back to a reliable PF. Yes, Terrence will have 2-3 game flashes of brilliance, but he has yet to establish himself as someone who can have the offense run through him.

DMo needs to get healthy and quick. Montrez is a great energy guy, but he's a liability on the defensive end at this point. You have the option to play him side by side with Dwight, but then you have no shooting from the 4/5. You could probably hide him a bit better with DMo who is a more capable defender vs. a guy like Plumlee.

Terrence doesn't offer us this same versatility.

He almost choked up when they talked about the team playing hard and wanting to win for him in his debut coaching game.

You can always question DaDakota's opinions on what should happen, but you can never question his love for the team.
