Exactly this. Good win today but nothing has changed. We need runner up MVP to win any game which is NOT sustainable and more importantly gives us zero chance of winning a championship. We definitely need DMo/Bev healthy and for Lawson to show up in the offense.

 

Sure -- i get your point, but i think you get mine. I think its just a super easy cop out for message board warriors to point to a first win by mchales assistant coach and say, "see!!! i told you, this guy is sooooo much better than mchale because he won!"

All i'm asking is for this board to be more rational in their claims. I don't care if I don't agree with them, but at least have something a little less elementary to offer.

 

I think Pat Beverley's absence also took some of the identity and character away from the team we knew last year.

 

Rockets were 0-3 vs. clippers in the playoffs. they came back to win advancing them to 4-3. Is tonight's win more impressive?

 

I **** on kneejerk reactions which are founded on nothing.

Listening to Stephen A and Skip Bayless "debate" is more tolerable than visiting this board most days.

 

Wouldn't be surprised if JB fathers another child tonight.

 

Not sure how to feel about this. On one hand we have a win, but on the other we won because of a miracle brewer 3 pointer and got the W in overtime in a game that was meant to be our 'effort' game after our coach just got fired. If that's the bounce back, I'm scared about how we're gonna fare against the grizzlies Friday.
Either way, 5-7 isn't THAT bad especially considering the number 4 seed in the west is 6-4. All it takes is a few more wins to get back in the race. Hopefully a new coach gives this team the 'effort' that they need to get back to playing how they used to but I'm not confident about that after this game.

It be nice if we get the Howard that makes free throws like he did today. If he would have missed any of those two free throws in the last minute of the fourth Brewer's 3 wouldn't have tied the game.
