.9 tied at 99. Harden scored all 9 points in overtime.

    The hard times are over.

JB comes in and first time this season we hold a team to under 105 points despite going to OT

    JB >>>>>> McFail

We had sparks of good basketball today, which is already an improvement. The energy and the defense were much better.

It is almost impossible to think that Brewer can miss a point blank layup and then hit a one-leg-running three to send it to OT. We got lucky when we needed. We will need much better basketball to beat the Grizzlies on Friday.

Hold on there partner - are you really asking for 3 non subjective points to a completely subjective question? Does that even make sense? I'll give you one - the Rockets showed heart and effort in a way we hadn't seen yet this year.

Lawson has to go no way he can exist with Harden and it kills the Defense so Morey that one is on you.

Nice win and the Rockets team that showed up in the 4th qtr looked like the WCF team, but seriously we needed a circus shot by Corey Sewer... err i mean Brewer to get the game to OT, the same guy that missed a point blank layup 30 secs earlier on a great defensive steal by Harden... Sorry I am still not a believer in spite of this performance

This game was still absolute concentrated garbage.. the offense was terrible! So chill a little before you start trumpeting JB. JB looked petrified with 3 minutes left.

    BUT I AINT EVEN MAD!!!

    I kid around a lot.

I was not entirely serious in that post.

Though I like what little I've seen and heard regarding jb.

And I saw some things tonight mchale rarely if ever did, or got the team to do.

Long season to go. We'll see how it plays out.

When was the last time the Rockets played Defense? As amazing as Harden was, the team struggle mightily on offense, shooting under 35%. They reason they won? They kept Portland under 40%.

Going forward, they are going to shoot better. Win or Lose rest on if they continue to play D.

It's pretty silly. People just talk enough and hope something sticks.

Four major changes from day 1 of post McFail era :

    1. We play defense with more intensity

    2. Less Harden iso and more ball movement

    3. Utilizing Harden's Post-up game

    4. Timely time outs here and there

Still have a lot of tweaking to do, but man it's becoming more and more apparent as to how McFail was dragging this team down with his ****ty coaching.

Yea, the team really rallied around him the first 3 quarters when Allen Crabbe was torching him. Great leadership.

The Rockets have been horrible, but they have also been unlucky. Wide open shots just have not been going in this year, and we see what happens when a few start to fall. If Brewer and Ariza can shoot like they did tonight, and if Harden can gain the consistency he had last year, the Rockets will turn this season around.
