    I can hear it already.

JB: "James, if you keep playing like a ***** she's going to leave you, bro"

I can't believe we are sticking with him the rest of the season. If he does bad les should give up ownership. Obviously JB couldn't motivate them either unless he was completely silent and only Kevin spoke to the players

ESPN is kinda tearing us apart and they have every right to if we don't upgrade at coaches position

Seems like a cheap alternative to me, but maybe it will work out.

It did with Chaney and Rudy T.

I'm thinking now that maybe the players never expected this would get kevin fired....maybe it's just an issue between them, especially Harden, that went too far, but Les needed to give them a wake up call and the only thing he could do was fire McHale. If that's true, then giving the job to JB isn't a problem, now that Les has the players' attention. I doubt they want this to be blown up and have even more change going forward, that could include leaving town.

Getting a new coach in-season is probably not going to work out well.

A new coach would have no time to implement their system or build a relationship or foundation with the players and a culture of trust. Throwing a new coach into the fire when tensions are running high could get the relationship off to a rocky start.

I think it's a much better idea to wait until the off-season to bring someone else in if they feel they need to.

Rudy T was an assistant and took over mid-season for Don Chaney in 1991/92. They stick with him and in 1993/94 the Rockets win the title. An in-house promotion may turn out to be a good thing.

JB is tatted up. He at least won't be a pushover.

Rockets weren't playing defense...as in not trying. JB was in charge of the planning, not going out there and carrying it out. that's on the players. Remember what Lawson said about this. Players weren't listening to the defensive calls made by the coaches.

This is sort of irrelevant as well. Blame the players, Mchale was a good guy. You guys didn't play hard. Despite the clear coaching failures by Mchale all onus on the players.

I think that you could have hired a coach and had his system implemented rather quickly, its not a football playbook you're talking about. Im concerned that if the team picks it up and makes the playoffs that Jb could get exposed.
