I agree, but if Harden is your best player, and he is not trying, that type of cancerous behavior filters down - and can hurt everyone else.

It all starts from the top....IMHO, they give the ball to Lawson a lot more and have Harden running the SG without the ball.

Good. You want to be an MVP player you have to take all the credit and take all of the blame. The blame is justified.

Harden gets big money to play better than everyone else. Yes, but that doesn't mean we should run him into the ground and when things go wrong just blame him. Brewer, Lawson, Howard, Ariza etc. Have all sucked. Lawson looks like a damn matador out there.

Harden needs to come out and say "It's on me."

KlutchQT I think said it best in another thread.

(paraphrasing it and putting my own words because i cant find her post)

How Harden plays after all this will determine who he is as a franchise player. IMO there's no more excuses for him and no more middle ground for him in terms of fan/peer perspective/opnion. Are you a superstar/franchise player or a glorified diva baller?

Harden knows MilkHair isnt gonna get us anywhere, so Im fine with him playing lousy to get rid of the coach.

But now its another story, the pressure is on Harden. If he continues with that trend, which I highly doubt, he could be in real trouble and could get the organization into a real quagmire

Maybe they don't need him to cover their asses maybe they need him to share. Last I checked they covered his ass in Game 6 of the cibference semifinals elimination game it maybe you forgot that? Accountability.

Well first Harden was actually sick that game. Secondly Josh Smith is no longer here. Harden averaged 7 assists last year and there was a huge drop off anytime he sat, mainly because Mchale couldn't run that iso Harden play he was so fond of, lol.

That sounds great but Lawson sucks so far. Harden has given him the ball and he quickly had to take it back.

It seems what you don't understand is that it all starts with Harden. Harden is the leader, everyone else follows. The rest of the players have been awful also, but we don't turn it around until Harden turns it around first. Harden leads, everyone else follows.

If Harden or any player in the team not playing with effort, as a head coach you should able to make him contribute more! Not just siting a side just clap clap asking let's play harder! As a head coach make player play with efford is your job. Unable to achive that surely that is your problem! Can't blame anyone! Rockets made the right decision!

Exactly how I feel. He's shown this season that he can still carry a team but he's tired of it. It shouldn't make any sense why harden has to go bonkers like 43 points and 13 assists to win games.

Let me sum up Harden this season, too many minutes, too many shots, too many misses, not enough effort on defense. There you go.

Howard has been great! What are you talking about? He may not be able to play B2B but when he does he brings it in.
And Lawson is a new piece, it's expected for him to be still lost a bit. And his defence was a known issue you can't trade for one player who is one of the worst defensive pgs and then ask him to stop being one!
Harden on the other hand has been the most absolutely awful in defence. Worse than Lawson.
