Not much is going right currently. They'll either continue to play like they don't care, or they'll pick it up. Either way, we'll find out a lot about these players.

I went to search for any info if this was true and no it is not true. Morey has confirmed he won't commit with Bickerstaff for the rest of the season. Bickerstaff is just an interim coach. You are an absolute ass hole.

 

Both Jeff Van Gundy and Tom Thibodeau have ties to the Rockets and are available coaches. Steve Clifford could also be a free agent this summer and has ties to Houston as well.

Is Steve Clifford an actual candiadate this isnt the first ive see his name in a report..
Does anyone know anymore on him i haven't watched the Hornets play at all..

 

If they canned the head coach this early in the season and truly aren't searching for a serious replacement until after the season then I'm honestly shocked. Do we intend to throw in the towel and tank this season? Risky move.

 

Was there a source for this? Was it said in an interview or the Rockets announcement? I didn't notice it.

The Houston Rockets are apparently done making changes on the bench for the time being.

After firing head coach Kevin McHale on Wednesday, the Rockets announced that assistant J.B. Bickerstaff would take his place on an interim basis. Owner Les Alexander later told ESPN's Calvin Watkins that the interim period will last at least until the end of the season, after which Bickerstaff will be evaluated and the Rockets will determine how to proceed.

After finishing 56-26, winning the Southwest Division, and coming within three wins of the Finals last season, the Rockets are off to a 4-7 start, ranking 27th in point differential and 29th in team defense.

Bickerstaff, a defensive specialist, is in his third stop of an 11-year career as an NBA assistant coach, having worked under his father - Bernie Bickerstaff - in Charlotte, and under McHale in both Minnesota and Houston.

This will be his first stint as a head coach at any level.

Don't know this guy can make it or not! He is the Assitant of McHale that means currently rockets most strategy and decision is made by him also! If McHale fails how can be sure J.B can make it?
