I've heard a lot of names thrown out. The best guy for the job is CLEARLY Rick Adelman. The way he had us playing with FAR less talent was outstanding. The ball moved, players cutted, and guys WANTED to play for him. The offense we run now is a cheap imitation of what it was under Adelman. Our offense was unpredictable and everybody touched the ball. Harden would have to give up a few points offensively but guys like Lawson would tremendously benefit. Guy like Harrell would also benefit.

I know it's a long shot given the ugly way we let him walk. But if I were Morey I'd say "Hey Rick, I was wrong. I made a mistake. We need you back in Houston to get this team back in contention. This time you have a great roster to work with". Adelman says he's retired but guys like him are true competitors. I doubt he'll turn down a opportunity to win a ring.

Adelman is not a dictator, he is also not in game strategist, he give his player liberty and don't run set plays (the Princeton offense is a Read and React constant motion offense) he is loyal to the Vets and don't play rookies.

He is all wrong for this immature team.

Adelman retired because he was mediocre, and could not motivate Kevin Martin to play defense at 2 successive NBA locations.

Rick Adelman is 70 years old.

He never even got the Rockets to the WCF like McHale.

Adelman was a disaster in Minnesota.

Why not just dig up the corpse of Jack Ramsey and sit him court side.

Adleman never got a healthy team....If he'd had a healthy yao and tmac, oh what would've been.....Would love to have him back, but not sure Les will let his ego go, apologize, and bring RA back. He was a truly balanced coach offensive and defensively.

Don't forget the huge amount of money he stole and jobs he set up for his family.

He'll bring Brad Miller back from the dead and trade Harden for KMartin.

Has I believe the 2nd best winning% of any Rockets coach besides McHale. All with this:

    Aaron Brooks
    Courtney Lee
    Shane Battier
    Luis Scola
    Chuck Hayes

Mediocre? You can't name another coach that could get that team to a 2nd round playoff series IN THE WEST.

When you don't know Rockets history you shouldn't post ridiculous things.

Nice job not including Yao and Ron Artest in the players he took to the second round.

Misinformed Rockets fan "Yea, because we didn't even make the WCF under Adelman like we did with McHale"

Reasonable Rocket fan: "Um dude, Adelman's roster was among the worst in the toughest conference. Did you remember the roster we had?"

    Misinformed Rockets fan: "Uhh, sooo"

    Fail

AB only played only 608 minutes as a rookie, Brick Skip 2 My Lou was giving 100% of the PG responsibility.

Carl Landry played 711 minutes as a rookie. Scolandry didn't form until the 2 year.

Chuck Hayes was a 3 years vet already an starter under Adelman.

Adelman retired because of his wife's ill health.
