    Of course Les is pissed

Milkhair was Murrays hiring. Murray could do whatever he wanted and get whoever he wanted....Les is putting an end to it

I don't understand why people are angry about Morey being accountable? McHale was HIS hiring. This team is stacked with talent, so the decision to go with Mchale (who happened to be very ok with Morey dictating the offense and whatnot) rests on Morey. He won't be fired because he is a good GM, but this should be a wake up call to him to do whatever it takes to get it done...even if it means he has to take his nose out of on the court affairs.

If Morey's fired, some other team will snatch him up in a second. Literally, you'd see a same-day fire & hire.

Firing Morey would be a big mistake in my opinion, he did a fantastic job of getting us a deep and talented roster. If the players aren't putting in the effort or performing that shouldn't be blamed on the gm.

I think the issue is that Les is just putting more pressure on Morey, he'd be foolish to follow through.

The real thing is, I'm betting Les is hearing about McHale and that these issues have been there for 2-3 years, and it's coming more so to surface now. And for that entire time, Morey has been a McHale apologist. Les doesn't appreciate that.

I think he feels blindsided by this, has taken Morey's lead and it's really sunk this far. Plus, the fact he has to eat 12-ish million doesn't help.

Morey cannot be on the hotseat though, he just needs a light underneath his ass for not cutting his losses earlier(i.e firing McHale after Portland, not giving a 3-year extension).

I agree this was just a check yourself move to morey. Les wants it known everybody better not get complacent or there a$$ is out the door. I also wonder if Morey is getting too reckless with throwing these assets together without considering the personality fits. I know its very anti-analytical, but this team could lack a good balance of veterans and "team" players that help round out a roster and keep a locker room strong. Hard to say with the coaching situation of recent. For example a guy like garnett doesn't have much in the tank from a statistical point, but man a guy like that would be invaluable to this team.

Morey assembled arguably the most talented Rockets team since the championships, but I don't think he should be meddling with coaching. McHale was basically just a yes-man. He should not have been hired in the first place.

Firing Morey is a terrible move if true. And I personally don't see Les doing it. The fact that Morey put personal feelings aside and agreed to firing McHale shows he knows they need to make moves to win. And I can't think of many moves Morey has made that has made us worse. Yeah he makes a few bad choices but every GM has. People are asking for Sam Presti. The guy who traded Harden and Reggie Jackson for actual bags of chips. Morey is the best guy for this team and no one new is going to take his role.

Let's say you're the CEO of a big food chain, and you're considered to be one of the very best executives in business. You surround yourself with good people, create a positive culture, and are innovative in incorporating new food trends and styles into the company. In fact, several other major food chains are starting to incorporate some of your ideas into their own products.

Then one day you wake up and one of your employees poured rat poison into the gauc.

Now are you partially responsible? Sure. But should you be fired? No. Will you? Probably.

Pretty much, yeah. Every move Morey has ever made has been picked apart, and I can't think of one poster who blindly supports every move he's made.

I think Morey's record and performance are easy to evaluate. Even if you don't count the harden trade, just leave it out, his hits have been bigger than his misses, and it's not even close. I do think he yaps to the media too much, but his skills at managing the roster and cap are beyond exceptional. He could be more diplomatic in how he handles certain things. Players know they are assets, but there's no reason to rub their face in it.

Let's be honest, if you best player stops playing like they care, they are going to sink your team and make everyone look bad.

Sam Presti!?!? Oh that's rich. Reunited with Harden, maybe he will find a way to unload his max contract for 2 rookies and and the rights to a player oversees.
