I haven't watched a lot of the pelicans this year, so I can't make a statement of fact, but I believe he is just playing poorly and that team has some injuries. Different then quitting on the team and going clubbing during losing streaks. Playing poorly is excusable; giving a lack of effort is not.
1-10 record... why is he not called out, i thought kareem called him the best big man in the game 2k cover just like harden he is being protected.. but WHY?
Your an idiot if you actually think what you just said is even remotely true. They will trade everyone on the roster before they trade Harden. He's on a cheap contract for the next 2 years after this. Makes Les a ton of money and is a superstar mvp type player the last 3 years and is only 26. Harden needs to get it together but it's as if a lot of you guys love seeing him struggle when he's single Handly turned this franchise around gets us sit downs with every marquee free agent out there got dwight here. You think any of that happens with out number 13? Cmon man I know your not that dumb. Dude was a beast last year and it's as if this whole board has completely forgot about that. He was shooting this bad through 11 games last year. Yes his effort needs to change but his shot will return and all you guys will be jocking him once again.
excuses, excuses Harden at least won player of the week averaging 40... you dont win an award like that without effort its the "golden" skin
Yep. I hope Morey doesn't hesitate to trade his ass and blow up the team if James can't get his **** straight.
I used to use the "potential" cop-out but thats over. he hasnt added anything to his offensive or defensive game since coming here. He played better in OKC on defense and shooting compared to now.
I agree. I'm just saying the guy is still young enough to have that lightbulb go off in his head. He hasn't gone down the Carmelo Anthony path just yet of never evolving. That being said, there are a lot of players I would trade Harden for right now because we have the flexibility to build around said new player. Hello, DeMarcus Cousins. At least he gives a damn whether his team wins or loses.
horrible rebuttal lol AD has to carry his team cause holiday is the only other scorer there. If he has trouble scoring he is still blocking shots and rebounding . As seen by THE ENTIRE WORLD harden is mailing it in on defense especially on fast breaks where he just stands and swipes. He is contributing nothing and is the cause of many defensive breakdowns.
I pray he doesnt turn into Melo. I would trade him in a heartbeat for some players as well that are more productive and cost less. Cousins would be my top guy with his production and contract. I will support harden because he is a rocket but unlike others we cant be blind to his deficiencies we see every game that are costing the team.
Are you purposely pretending not to understand? It's not about playing poorly. It's not about missing shots. It's not about being in a slump. It's not about a losing record, in and of itself. It's about Harden going out there and playing like he flat out does not care. Anybody with two eyes can see that. Les saw it. Clyde/Bill/Bull/Calvin see it and have begun openly commenting on it. National sports media sees it. Any rational fan that isn't just blindly, stupidly loyal to Harden to can see it. There is a big difference between playing poorly and arguably not even trying. How you can read that Lebron quote and listen to Harden's "no big deal" speech after loss after loss after loss and not see the distinction is SO beyond me.
When presenting dumb ideas, please provide a solution. What exactly is a FEASIBLE upgrade or even trade off for getting rid of Harden?
Harden's lack of effort has been appalling - but Davis has taken several plays off a game as well. Neither of them should be immune to criticism - that goes double for Harden as he's given zero ****'s on both sides of the floor.
There are two ways at looking at Harden's "no big deal" type comments 1) Positive - he is a leader who is not panicking. We will get this right, stay together. 2) Negative - Lack of urgency displayed during troubled times is disturbing. Harden is kind of a tough read sometimes. He seems somewhat introverted, but at the same time likes attention. I think there is frustration, but he is trying not to show it. Part of the frustration is him not playing well. And part of that is because teams have figured him out, how to best defend him (like GS in WCF) and he is struggling. I think Harden is looking to be COACHED and is looking for help for a better offensive system. He wasn't getting it and he regressed. That is on him, but also on the coaches. Plenty of blame to go around. And not black and white.
