Definitely possible. I outlined a few scenarios for signing Durant in the Bima thread.

If you want to mess around with possibilities just go here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1s5ZL-juL7gufZJ0p0Y9Flddao5jf_c1enyIudjnZBtI/edit#gid=0
download the XML sheet and plug and play. Just make sure to leave cut/traded players' salaries blank.

I can update it with additional possibilities per requests if need be.

I did make a complete guess at Harrell's salary however. He will likely be making more than I put.

I think there is a chance that he might sign with his home town Wizards. Their future looks bright.

Which makes me think that NenĂª's expiring 13-ish million dollar contract will stay put in DC.

We have heard all the rumors about Rockets being interested in Durant, haven't heard one about Durant being interested in Rockets.

On the other hand, there have been rumors about Durant being interested in the Wizards and going home, Wall has been vocal to the media about wanting to play with Durant and his plans to recruit him.

I honestly think it's a sure thing Durant re-signs, and if he doesn't I think the Wizards would be 1st on his list. I think our target next summer should be Horford, he's a perfect fit.

I like Al too, and want to see if Morey can pull off a trade for him in this upcoming season.

I don't think he is a 20 M a year plus guy, though. It's mind boggling how much guys are going to be getting soon, even with the expanding salary cap room.

If Brook Lopez gets 20 million, Milsap gets 19, I don't see why Horford wouldn't be worth at least 20 him self. I know it seems weird, but eventually we'll adapt to the new cap (once it's set) and contracts will seem fair again.

I hate the Thunder, but it's going to be one motivated team to win next year.

I am sure Horford will get around 20 M or more, it just seems weird as you said. Dwight is pretty awesome, but I hope he will take a pay cut and stay in Houston. The chances of that are very slim IMO. I do believe if he can get another max contract from Les, he will stay with us.

If Harden knows Durant is strongly considering Houston, but perhaps doesn't believe in McHale or just really like Brooks, would James sabotage the season to get McHale fired? I know it's a crazy thought, but how else do you explain his play? It's been mind boggling, like the monstarzz sucked everything out of him. Defense was horrible, even for James Harden.

this is an interesting thought. i could have sworn in the past few games that at times it looked like james was literally throwing games. i mean some of those turnovers on the perimeter were just not what you see on any level of bball, much less from a superstar with natural instincts to always protect the ball with your body shielding off the defender..

I have a hard time believing that, granted last year no one could get the ball from him when he was doing his thing. When he's on, he puts the ball on the floor where he wants to and nine times out of ten he's luring the **** out of the defender with it. Haven't seen much of that at all this year..

I don't think it was quite to that level, where Harden was purposely committing errors to sink the coach. More likely, he wasn't putting in the focus and effort, and with Harden's game that can easily lead to errors. This is the NBA; you can't mail it in, especially if your defensive intensity is suspect to begin with.

You don't think dominating opponents in GSW fashion would've been much more appealing to KD? And there's great respect for McHale in the league, doubt a guy like KD would see a negative in playing for him.

He could just like Brooks more than McHale. Dominating opponents wouldnt bring change. Perhaps Durant and Harden think they can win it all as long as they play together with Dwight...thats pretty much how Lebron and Wade thought.

I just can't explain James' play. Too much at stake to just quit like that, has to be more to it.

Not coming here. Has better options elsewhere.

Do not hire Scott Brooks because you're trying to lure Durant. Silly.

I still think Harden is feeding Morey info..so I dont think it's the same as catering to a Bosh, Lebron, etc.

Both Les and Morey love superstars too much to give up the dream. If I have to take a guess, Brooks is the rockets next head coach, which is not good for this team at all.

I simply refuse to believe that Durant would prefer Scotty Brooks to a coach like Thibs. That man works too hard and wants to win too badly to prefer Brooks over Thibs.

Yeah, I have to agree, I don't think Brooks is the answer...
