I liked Coach McHale as a person. Seemed like a great, personable guy and for the better part of 4 years he did a geat job motivating this team. We'll never know for sure what happened in the locker room to change, but in the end I wish him a happy and healthy life.
The moment I'll most remember him for was when he thanked Josh Smith for helping us get into the WCF. Most heartfelt. He really cares about guys. But really time to stop saying play harder.
I appreciated Kevin McHale. He was not a bad coach. Last season proved it. He was very entertaining and it was a great run. Apparently some players quit on him. Details to follow I guess. When that happens time to change coaches or players. Easier to change the coach.
The day when Morey will trade Harden away and start the rebuilding/retooling process of this franchise again, this thread will look much more interesting.

im not a big mchale fan but i wanted him to get at least 15-20 game before getting fired. give him a chacne to break out of the teams slump. he had great success here.
mchale should appreciate harden for les giving him 12 million for doong something he is incapable of doing
i would love to be paid just 100k for doing something i cant do. "nope cant do that" "thats ok, here's 100k" "god daam"
Now I can officially say goodbye. McHale exceeded expectations when we hired him. If yall recall, we got him when we were planning on tanking and then we got rid of Lowry, Dragic, Scola, etc. Harden fell into our lap and we became a playoff team. So in those terms, he did well. As far as being a legit contender, we had no chance with him. So long!
Good man. Decent motivator. Poor X's and O's coach. UNABLE TO STAND UP TO MOREY'S PHILOSOPHY THAT AIN'T WORKING. Sums up Mchale to me. He'll be allright. Probably belongs in broadcasting anyways.

When things don't go well, the coach is always the one who takes the blame. I think he did a lot for this team and got us farther last season than any team in a very long time. It's unfortunate how the team played early this season and I don't believe it is McHale's fault. He's just the goat and fall guy here. This may wake the team up. I've still yet to hear players' reaction to his firing. If they are happy about it, then that will be news to me.
Dear Coach McHale, HOFer, all-time great PF, and good man who's endured more than his share of personal tragedy while with the Rockets-- and got us to the WCF, despite all our flaws. I fear it'll be a long spell before we get back there. All best wishes. Hope the TWolves have already signed you.
I worship McHale the player, the HOFer, the Alltime Great, the Dad figure, the analyst, commentator and recruiter of Dwight, and finally an extra in a TV series I do like him as GM and I have become indifferent to this coaching and his inclination to follow Morey blindly
Let's not forget that six months ago he was doing this and leading us to the WC Finals without two starters. A great guy and class act. Wishing him nothing but the best.
Great guy, players coach, Rudy T #2, not a great X and O but trust gave let player freedoms. As usual player get coaches fired, because owners can't fire player
