I think the Lakers are a worse team than the Rockets right now. But the 6ers have better defence, and hustle more. So probably second worst.
I could see a loss to Boston even if we were playing well so it's not surprising to see them blow us out by that much. But we are the worst team in the league right now, definitely. No team is playing worse. Other teams may have worse records but no one is playing as bad as we are right now.
Even if Mchale is a terrible coach Rockets have multiple players that know what it takes to get to the dance. what the hell is happening here?
11 Games in and it feels like they have quit. Our leaders Harden, Howard and Ariza are doing everything but leading.
No heart by this team this year. Very different than last year with basically the same squad. Very depressing indeed.
Ultimately, the team is playing very bad. We look like the worst team, not because we are actually the worst team in the NBA, but because the players aren't putting in the effort. It's not like the talent is there. The right coach could really make the difference to get their heads out of their asses. I dearly hope McHale gets fired soon, Finch gets his first NBA head coaching job, and suddenly wins COY after we go on a run and go from 1st pick lottery to 5th seed. Then again, I don't know much about Finch. Is he more Xs and Os or is he a motivator? We need a great motivator with a good assistant coach team behind him.
The score doesn't tell the real story. At one point we were up 15 and dropped to down 26. Everyone talked about how much better we would be with a younger point guard, but Terry is at least giving EFFORT on defense, which is more than can be said for much of the rest of our team.
T.R. Dunn might be given the interim job, rather than Finch. He has 8 yrs experience as assistant under Adelman, 4 of them on the Rockets. Plus he was a 3x NBA 2nd Team All-Defense. Dunn is the man for interim coach.
