But you told me he was a gym rat all off season and working on his game and ahs the same work ethic as Curry and had no distractions like Adidas or Khloe or b****ing about MVP. Make up your mind breh

He's a big time bandwagoner. He's just a follower. Can't think for himself or provide any analysis but give people the benefit of the doubt. He's just not an alpha dog.

He's heartbroken and misses Khloe =(

Funny we've all been so happy she's out of his life, but it may have actually been negative on him (in the short term).

I was at the game Saturday night and Lou watching Harden get beat several times off the back door was horrible man.

Teams have scouted Harden's defensive liabilities to perfection.

I picked Harden but both him and McHale bears the same amount of responsibilities.

    Harden has most blame...

McHale is just as stupid as he was last year...

but james obviously dgaf - and that attitude is cancerous...

I say fire McHale and trade harden... cause as Ron White says "you can't fix stupid" and if James is gonna be no defense prima donna whenecer he gets his nose outta joint - screw him!

    damn Kardassians....

I think Morey indirectly is to blame, but it is not his fault. He gave out extended contracts to key contributors. McHale got extended, and Brewer and Beverly got extended. Harden got 200 million from Adidas. Ariza has 2 years on his deal after this year. Everyone is fat and happy right now. Only Dwight, TJones, Lawson (who may just be struggling to know his role) and DMo (injured) have the immediacy of free agency next summer to consider. It's human nature at work.

Harden's been far from good this season. But he's 1 player on a roster of 15 (sure - our best players).
But it's the coaches job to get players up and ready (motivate). It's the coaches job to select who starts and comes on. It's the coaches job to change things mid game that aren't working. It's the coaches job to bench someone not performing.

Sure it's the players underperforming. But virtually all of them at the same time? There's something else going on leading to this and I don't buy that it's 1 player.

Someone needs to be doing something about it. I'm sure someone is (or at least hoping) because as fans we won't necessarily see it. But you can't blame 1 or 2 players.

STFU! "THINK before you post" said the guy who has over 1,000 posts in less than 6 months...

I know we wouldnt get equal value - but we'd get more than we're getting on the court from Harden... Some bottom dweller team will mortgage their future for a gate draw like Harden - look what we got for a broken down McGrady...

But if you wanna keep paying max money to our superstar no defense turnover machine who is gonna pull a Pippen whenever he feels like it - feel free! I say cash out now or be Hardens b**** for the balance of his contract...

I'll name some wings with a better adjusted Defensive plus minus than Ariza last year, when Rockets had a top 10 defense mind you.

    Tony Allen
    Kawhi Leonard
    Aminu
    Sefolosha
    Danny Green
    Batum
    Russell Westbrook
    Giannis Ante....
    Jeremy Evans (UT)
    Andre Iguodala
    PJ Tucker

    Ariza clocks in at +1.3

Kawhi Leonard is a 3.5, Tony Allen 3.7 for some perspective on what "elite" means. Just one stat but it gives you an idea.

Here are some PGs with a better defensive plus minus than Bev last year.. Could be a long list, so let me look, in order.

    Westbrook 2.2
    Marcus Smart
    Rondo
    Wall
    Bledsoe
    Carter-Williams
    Elfrid Payton
    Corey Jospeh
    Livingston

    Beverley 0.3
    Curry

So while Bev ranks around the 10th best, he's not elite either.

I like McHale as part of this franchise, but maybe not at the end of the bench? Harden can be a great player, but honestly I wouldn't mind trading him while his value is high if this season doesn't turn around soon. Let the Lakers or the Knicks have his visibility.

"whom" is a legit word. It just was used totally wrong in this thread title. Did not make much sense.

"whilst" is just old school and British.

Harden is 100% to blame for everything wrong that goes on this season. Just look at him on the court. HE DOES ABSOLUTELY NOTHING USEFUL!

You have that backwards. A good coach is needed for to beat teams that are as talented or more talented than you. Teams that you need to prepare for because you can't just beat them with raw talent and athleticism.

The Nets of the league should be easy to handle by virtue of simply having more talent. Harden is playing like a bum and he's the reason the Rockets look like ****.

When he looks like he cares and the Rockets just can't get over the hump against good teams or struggle down the stretch in close games, I'll start considering pointing the finger at McHale.

I'm putting in on Harden. If we're going to turn this around and compete, Harden is going to have to put the "best player in the league" BS to the side. His statistics are going to have to dip, particularly his assists. Let Lawson play his game.
