While watching the Vikings-Raiders game all I could think about was how great Xavier Sua-Filo has been for us and how i'm glad our team had no need for a qb last year.
How was getting Bridgewater easy? I understand Carr but TB was gone by the time the Texans picked in the 2nd round.
And they wouldn't have picked him even if he had fallen to them because they had no interest in him. The only controversy should be over not picking Carr who is by far the best QB in that class.....but because there were a ton of people on the Teddy bandwagon this nonsense will continue for a few more years.
Bridgewater the game manager does it again. He's like a less athletic Alex Smith. Hand it off to Peterson and let the defense do the work. Carr still makes a few too many stupid passes. But that is to be expected given that his defense routinely puts him in a hole.
I think both QBs are doing well and would be an improvement over what the Texans had/have. But while Bridgewater's overall stats are not near Carr's, there are areas where Bridgewater has performed better: Bridgewater's stats, 4th quarter within 7: 4th Quarter within 7 25 18 72.0 270 10.8 40 1 0 10 40.0 6 6 120.4 Carr's stats, 4th quarter within 7: 4th Quarter within 7 47 26 55.3 278 5.9 38 2 3 14 29.8 3 0 60.4
Why in the world would you trade up 1 spot? Except information was leaked that the Vikings were proposing a trade with the seahawks, there was no need to make that trade.
Carr will be a career loser he reminds me of a cross between palmer and drew bledsoe teddy when he gets with the offensive coordinator, and they get in that indoor stadium next year will be lethal once the vikings put big bodied recievers that can create a double team
Hoyer's stats this year are far better than Bridgewater's. Hoyer's at 13:3 TD:INT ratio. Bridgewater is 7:6. Passer rating is Hoyer 97.1 (top 10 in the league) and Bridgewater is 84.6 (which is near the bottom of the league). Not even close.
Once again texxx, you need to dig deeper. Hoyer is a mediocre QB (still better than Mallett) but most of those stats came in garbage time.
Bridgewater has the best passer rating in the 4th quarter in the nfl, and the 3rd best espn qbr in the 4th qbr.... both stats were carr ranks in the bottom 10 of the league lol
