I've been calling McFail to be fired for 3 years now, even after our WCF exit. Good to see me finally vindicated. This man cannot coach. He has decent leadership skills, but he cannot coach at all from a XO perspective.
Harden needs to publicly demand McHale to be fired (do the same thing as Cousins). Make an ultimatum to the owner: me or him. This is the most effective way to get rid of the coach.
Right now, Harden looks like a lazy loser, then who demands Mchale to be fired? The big problem for McHale is that he is too nice for Harden, lets him do a lazy thing on the court. So much for a player coach, every player want to play with him because he will never yell you even you do not do your professional jobs on the court.
Not professional at all... Then a couple of days later Cousins came back and asked the the coach not be fired.... T_Man
Morey is supposedly in Europe, traveling. I don't know if that's true. If so, there won't be any drastic decisions made until his return. Again, maybe I'm wrong on the traveling bit, or maybe he returned.
Since we're firing McHale, we might as well fire Harden too. He's the one that's not following the game plan. We suppose to have better ball movement, but Harden waives it off and runs Harden-Iso. On the defensive end dude got beat at least 6 times off the back cut. That was embarrassing. Harden runs this team not McHale. Ya'll do know that right??
What the hell are you talking about. And why do yall people keep bringing up Lin. He's no longer a Rocket so please stop killing threads with that nonsense.
Cousins is a cancer, If Harden could not play for George Karl i would be more 50/50 on the situation, but mchale came in as a rookie head coach Cousins beefs with EVERYBODY
People don't know what goes on behind the scenes. People don't know how involved the assistant coaches are. People do know which coaches are available. People don't know the exact relationship between McHale and Harden. People don't know if Harden is just up and doing his own thing. And so forth. When don't know that much, calling for big changes isn't necessarily the best move forward. This FO isn't stupid and unless the team flat out quits on McHale and goes on a large losing streak, there won't be any coaching changes. There's no precedent for this FO making rash moves. The one thing that absolutely won't be happening is trading low on James Harden. Although I seriously question his will power and mental toughness, he has the tools to be a perennial top 5 player for the next 5 years. There's no excuse from anyone but Harden that he has regressed on D and needs another 10 minute youtube video embarrassing him.
Yeah Harden isn't going anywhere no time soon. If we continue to play like this, McHale will get the boot 1st. That's just the nature of the business. Drastic changes can be very beneficial. The Warriors firing Jackson and bringing in Kerr was as drastic as they come. We do need a coach that Harden will listen to as well. Right now dude is not listening to McHale, thus all these Iso plays, dribbling the air out the ball then turning it over, and getting beat off of elementary back cuts. I am on board with McHale getting the boot but everybody on here sees exactly what Harden is and isn't doing.
I know it's a meme and all, but if Harden played harder on D it really would solve a lot of problems.
