Pretty much this. The lowest point for me since following in 2007. Teams expectations and talk was PURSUIT of a championship, so to see this effort is killing fun for basketball.
I think this season so far the East is more deep and in general a better conference than the West. But has fewer championship contenders.
Wolves youth/inexperience killing them. They can stay with most teams, but when crunch time rolls around they falter.
Even before the season started, something was different for me. Just didn't have the normal anticipation for the NBA after months of no basketball. From the start, it was hard to watch any non-Rockets games. With the Rockets' dysfunction, I don't want to watch them either. Prior to the lockout, I watched an unreal amount of NBA action. Ridiculous when I think about it. It's as if the lockout punctured a balloon and my interest has been in steady decline ever since. But this season my focus on the NBA dropped like a stone.
Yeah I'm having trouble watching any non-Rockets games, and then the Rockets games themselves are hard to watch right now as well. It just sucks. I love the NBA, but I can't enjoy it right now. Hopefully that changes.
Thats sucks, hopefully it changes. The NBA is at its peak right now, with Curry, Lebron, Durant, Westbrook & others at or close to their prime and a bunch of promising/interesting rookies/young players. I only find it hard watching the Rockets even when they are giving real effort. Instead I've eagerly watched every Warriors/Thunders game and when they play someone good, Cavs & Spurs. Sometimes I try to catch Porzingus or Towns or Hezonja (but unfortunately he gets little minutes). On topic, Charlotte is 5-5 and just saw jeremy lambs' season stats (not including today) 13.4 pts - 4 reb 22.7 PER 63% TS 55% shooting 42% from 3???
Same. Social media tells me the Celtics are coming into Houston hot off a great win tonight in OKC though, so... yay.
Wonder if Westbrook will get killed like Harden after tonight? Terrible shooting night and let Marcus Smart/IT go off. 17 free throw attempts to paper the cracks over an awful performance without KD.
I don't think Russell Westbrook is the comparison you want to use when trying to excuse Harden's lack of effort these past few games. In fact, I'm CERTAIN it's not the comparison you want to use.
If Westbrook gets a 'pass' it's because no one is questioning his effort. WB has a narrative all his own anyway. One of selfishness, poor shot selection and poor PG play. No one is immune from Twitter hate. Justified or not.
