Because he made it to the WCF last year, he automatically has 2 years at the very least before he gets on the hot seat

I agree the Rockets don't normally can a coach during the season. They haven't done it since Charlie Thomas owned the team nearly a quarter century ago.

But I've also been following this franchise since about the time they fired Cheney and replaced him with Rudy and I have never seen a Rockets team this pathetic and uninterested. This is uncharted territory for this organization and unless Les and Morey are content to have what we saw the last 2 nights as their basketball product for the rest of the season, they better seriously consider making wholesale changes now and not waiting til after the All-Star Break or offseason.

    Tick Tick....

    Feeling good, guys. :)

However, what a pathetic showing, once again.

Yes, the players have a responsibility to play, but the coach HAS to facilitate and make the right rotations for this thing to work.

McHale seems to have forgotten the easy/fun part of coaching. You look at the mismatches throughout the game and go at them. You maximize your team's chances by exposing the mismatches. I don't think McHale knows what a mismatch is anymore...

Has anyone grown tired of McHale's hand gestures? LOL, besides the clapping, he covers his mouth with one hand and balances his other arm on top of his forearm. Oh yeah, and the gang signs he throws up when no one is watching to communicate some sort of garbage...love those. He literally has his fingers going all over the place with a confused look on his face, all the while making incoherent noises at the guys. And, no one even acknowledges his presence.

Maybe it's because McHale avoids standing or making himself appear to be involved in the game. You know the routine: McHale only stands up during collapses and never, ever gets up to pump his guys up. I know he has trouble walking, but I know he's not paid for being a passive bystander on the bench.

...Such a great player, but limited, limited talent as a coach. The "player's coach" thing is a myth. Players like playing for Coach Kev because he lets them do whatever the hell they want, there is no clear system and there is very little accountability. It's such a joy to watch him coach...err sit on the bench with those folded hands and scattered thoughts.

We lost without Dirk playing. Dirk used to destroy us. We weren't even competitive tonight.

It starts with your identity as a team that the coach creates and trickles down...

    We're lost.

He's a lazy fool that played it up last season because his no-D video went viral. Now he's content again with sucking D.

Right on. And if that's the case, I'm about done wasting my time watching this crap. I'll just play NBA 2k, fire McHale, and hire the closest coach to Tom Thibodeau.

This was said in 2014 during the playoffs.
    Scary nothing has changed

Wow, Coach Nick from B-ball Breakdown had some great insights in the video above on the Rockets offense.

"Too often the Rockets offense has no purpose"

    "Wasted movement"

"Rather than call a play to get a good shot, they put Terrance Jones in position to dribble the ball no less than 14 times out on top. With no time left, Harden is forced to jack up a long three. It's almost as if there is no coach out there.

I was being sarcastic right there .

In all honesty though, I don't care if he misses shots or hates the team or coach, just go out there and give a ****.

This is definitely a team with no direction and McHale is just inadequate as a coach. He's continuing to hope that Harden bails the team out but Harden appears lost himself this year. This is just not working. MOREY DO SOMETHING!

His attitude is ****ing annoying as **** he seems bbi-polar at times. I still think something is up with him mentally causing him to miss every shot he takes. No excuse for his defense or lack of but a guy of his talent just doesn't forget how to shoot and don't effectively like this. He's even missing lay ups

Absolutely not and no one said it does. I love Harden I think he's a phenomenal player. But even you have to admit his attitude sucks bad this year and his game is very very off. This isn't the Harden from last year not even close

Maybe if they just play harder the plays will draw themselves up?

This guy is so worthless. He's not a f'ing fan commenting on the game from his living room. He's the g-ddamn head coach! If the communication is nonexistent, then FIX IT!!! And if the players refuse to follow your instructions, then bench them in favor of others who will. That's the advantage of being 3 deep at nearly every position.
