Lin at least would try to make plays even if it didnt work out Lawson doesnt even try, or if the shot clock is running down will go to lane and get blocked on some weak ass layup
This is true. Very disconcerting. I'd rather Lawson be terrible trying to make plays than terrible by doing nothing.
Lawson is a ball dominating point guard without a reliable outside shot. You take the ball away from him, he is pretty much what you see now. I've never understood why the Rockets need any PG when you have Harden holds the ball for 20 seconds every trip down the court.
We have a lot players dribbling and shooting that shouldn't be doing so. Trevor shot most of our shots in the first quarter. Dwight had a option to run a pick and roll with Ty but chose to run it with Trevor. We didn't score on that possession. lol
Jonathan Feigen ✔@Jonathan_Feigen Pat Beverley leaving in a walking boot and crutches on sprained left ankle.
For those saying he should come off the bench - What's the point? He's already on the floor 100% of the time James is not. What difference would coming off the bench make?
No effect because Mc**** is incapable of designing plays to utilize one of the best assist guys in the world
sorry, i just cant help it. but "one of the best pg's in the league"? maybe one of the best pg's on our team? lol. cant remember when was the last time a starting pg scored ZERO pt in an entire game.
Because he can be Ty Lawson and have the ball in his hands and make decisions. That's the thing that bugs me the most about McHale. The defense is purely effort and communication, but turning Ty Lawson into mostly a spot up shooter where he's watching Harden dribble the air out of the ball is just stupid.
Yep, we needed a true SG, not a true PG. Not surprisingly, Thornton was a much smarter acquisition than Lawson.
