What? Harden is 2 in the NBA in scoring. How is that the logic he is using??

If anythinghje is saying Lawson is being outproduced by those guys, so the comparison you might want to make is to say that Fournier is better than Kobe. That is his logic (and might work?)

And? If your going to use #2 in scoring as a measuring stick you might want to take a look at the rest of those numbers. Have you even watch him play this year aside from the okc game. I'm assuming not or you would easily acknowledge JH is struggling

It's not Lawson's fault. He is simply not being used properly and his role isn't defined. That's on McHale.

He's had 2 games better than the okc game buddy. James is struggling early on but honestly he's been damn good since the okc game. The Brooklyn game would have looked much differnt had the whole team not shot a whopping 12 free throws.

If James had gone to the freethrow line his normal rate he prob shoots closer to 50% that game and scores 30 points to go along with his 7 rebounds and 5 assist. I wouldn't call that a bad game.

The refs swollowing their whistle and rebounding is why we lost that game, Not James harden. But we still should have won that game regardless in all honesty were just the better team.

A lot of teams are struggling right now outside of the Spurs/warriors/cavs which should come as no surprise seeing as most penciled them in as the favorites coming into the year.

Talk to us about your change of heart. You use to be a delusional homer. Why the sudden change?

He has not been damn good since the okc game. Inconsistency is still very much there. James harden had nothing to do with the lost ok. Aside from offensive reb. All the refs fault

Eh, never delusional. Hopeful? Sure. Is that a bad thing? Why do some people on here think that's so bad?

Ty Lawson is a versatile, talented offensive player. I'm confident he'll find a way to make it work next to Harden offensively. It might take a few months but it'll get there.

Defensively playing them both together is a trainwreck and I don't know if it'll ever work. Lawson is somehow actually a worse defender than Prigs and Terry were last year.

You can't have Lawson/Harden/Thornton all starting. It's impossible to defend anybody. Gotta move Thornton or Lawson (preferably Lawson) to the bench.

This is a thread about Lawson. You are using a WC player of the week to try and make a point. Fail.

Use Kobe as your comparison, and then you realize how bad Lawson is going so far. Lawson has no pedigree as a top 5 or 10 PG to draw on either. I say bench him and roll with Harden Thornton as the backcourt. Thornton cannot defend PGs worse than Ty, and that would let us start Jones, who cannot defend PFs worse than whomever has been trying. And will also rebound better than whomever.
Let Lawson get in a groove.

The defensive thing with Ty is no surprise though. We knew he was awful before he came here.

Way to go WC player of the week. What an accolade for someone putting up career highs in shots and to's with low's in %'s. The whole point of that was to point out harden is struggling that's it but guess it was hard for you to see that. Fail

Struggling so bad he has won a player of the week award? 2nd in the NBA in scoring? Sure, having his problems, but not anywhere near the right comparison for the argument you are trying to make....

    Amazing you don't see that....

Where is ty Lawson. Right now he's just a guy who brings the ball up. I thought he already realized he needed to be more agressive.

Patrick Beverley will not return due to a left ankle sprain.

They don't pass his way. Ariza has the ball more than him.

I liked this post, and just jumped the gun replying without reading the rest of the thread. Sorry if this was already covered.

I agree completely with this post. It totally never made sense to expect the MVP runner-up to completely change his game and go from ball dominant to off-the-ball. A lot of people need to fess up and admit that was silly of them to expect it.

Still, Harden asked for guard help at the end of last season. Well, we checked that box by stealing Lawson.

    That's not saying anything new.

I'm just wondering are there ways to make Harden and Lawson work on the floor together WITHOUT compromising their strengths? I know there is only one ball, but there are a lot of people with way more bball knowledge than I have on here. Is there a way to do it? Like use one as a decoy or something? I don't know. They don't complement each other, but Lawson is an enormous talent and basically a gift.
