ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Nuggets 11/13/2015

Lol true.

 

The conditions are right for a good performance from the Rockets... they just lost a game to a winless team on their home court, they had an embarrassing 0-3 start with huge margins of losing, and they're in the WC.

They should emphasize defense. This needs to be their trademark going forware. Defense always makes their offense run better. They should get just as much satisfaction from holding a team to the lowest possible score as they do scoring points. Defensive-minded players do.

Denver isn't a bad team. Don't take them for granted. The loss to them at home should be all the fuel needed to create the fire to win. BUT, we've been surprised enough times in the past... we'll see.

 

Eh...I expect the Rockets to win, but a loss wouldn't surprise me. They haven't proven that they can get it done consistently so far, so no reason to expect otherwise tonight. We'll see what happens.

 

This game is going to be a struggle. Both teams are 4-4 and are playing at the same level.

 

Is this Ty Lawson's coming out party? Could be a big chemistry boost if we can get this one.

I want like to see more drives to the basket. Too many early shot clock 3s vs Brooklyn. Hoping for more flow on offense and less standing around. Pick and Roll, do you run it? its unstoppable.

 

Any Clutch Fans gonna be at this game? I'm pregaming right now at Brooklyn's.

 

There will be no coming out party for Ty Lawson until he is used properly and in a defined role. The longer they keep trying to shoehorn him in with James Harden, the longer he'll be marginalized.

 

Until, James Harden starts playing the SG position and let Ty be a point guard...Ty will continue to have up and down games

 

I predict: people will b**** about McHale after the game, win or lose.

The best possible scenario for this game:

1.) Harden NOT drops 40 (but plays efficiently).
2.) We lead the whole way.
3.) We win.

I believe it's been announced that he's playing tonight and sitting tomorrow against Dallas.

I kind of wish it was the other way around, but oh well.

 

If we can beat this team without James Harden having to score 30 - 40 points I'm happy. That would be progress to me.
