I'm not her biggest fan, but until conservatives bring out a decent candidate, Hillary is going for a walk in the park.

I don't see how the true base would push Trump into the final spotlight, but if that is indeed the scenario, is there really any doubt that Hillary will crush him?

Originally, I thought Jeb would be the biggest competition and I feared disappointment with the possibility of another Bush as president. It looks like that name has worn out, thankfully. I'd be disgusted if we didn't grow as a society and chose to elect someone with the notoriously bad last name.

Who can really forgive GWB for all of the death in Iraq and the infinite. costly mistakes he headlined? When history looks back at Barack, though not without mistakes, it will recognize the horrendous mess he inherited and spent 8 years to clean up. He's done very well, considering what GWB failed to do for 8 wasted years.

I don't see any republican candidate with the capacity to lead. And, unfortunately, republicans will take another decade or so to push a minority or woman into POTUS status. Palin was just a tease. Carly, IMO, is one of the repubs best candidates, but she doesn't have a chance because she's simply in the wrong party. I don't despise her whatsoever. I despise the ignorance coming from Trump's camp.

The same can be said for Carson. He has decent ideas, but his party isn't progressive enough to push him into contention. It's sad.

This election may go down as one of the least interesting in awhile. Biden could have kept it interesting, but ultimately, it will be Hillary and whomever is leading the polls for republicans. Again, I can't imagine Trump on the ticket, but stranger things have happened, I guess.

I avoid partaking in the arguments around here, but I decided to drop by to share this silly headline I saw on the background TV during my lunch hour today.

    Never change, CNN.

Bernie is totally dominating the issues. They had Kasich the most most moderate of the Repubs on TV this morning and when asked a question about student debt by a graduate student was all of a sudden not so glib, stumbled around trying to mainly dodge the question and answered after awhile by talking about how college presidents are to blame for high tuition causing debt and then sort of mumbled something would have to be done. lol lol

Of course Hillary has proposed some sort of complicated weird system to help also after Bernie..

    Good news for Bernie..

    1)
Bernie Sanders this week picked up a major endorsement from the American Postal Workers Union. It’s a significant step for a presidential candidate whose unexpected campaign success has been propelled largely by his populist appeal. Sanders’ union boost comes on the heels of a number of high profile labor pick-ups from his chief rival for the Democratic presidential nomination.

    http://magazine.good.is/articles/be...ygood&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=dailygood

2)In a new McClatchy-Marist poll, Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) leads Republican candidate Donald Trump by a landslide margin of 12 percentage points, 53 to 41. In the McClatchy poll, Sanders also leads former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R) by a landslide margin of 10 points, 51 to 41.

The huge Sanders advantage over Trump is not new. In the last four match-up polls between them reported by Real Clear Politics, Sanders defeated Trump by margins of 12, 9, 9 and 2 percentage points.
The huge Sanders advantage over Bush is new.....

Second, and perhaps more important, Sanders's strength in general election polling gives credence to the argument I have been making in recent years, that American voters favor progressive populist positions which, if taken by Democrats in the general election, would lead to a progressive populist Democratic president and far greater Democratic strength in Congress

Lying, cheating, horseface, ****, should step away and let Bernie do his thing but her ego won't let her. She needs the presidency infinitely more than America needs her presidency.

She won't do that. She represents the corporate elite (thanks CU) and Bernie merely represents the interests of the entire lower and middle class.

The Bernie revolution needs to happen but the convoluted mindset of the American voter where the most intense commitment is from bull**** morality issues voters and the majority consider corporate ownership so entrenched they don't even bother to vote, means you are looking at a long road before it can. Just being able to say Democratic Socialism without being 'red baited' is a big social change though.

But retaining veto power over the House and appointing any Supreme Court judges is the primary object for the 2016 Presidential election. And using the popularity of the first real qualified woman to get it will serve well.

We can and should all shout out Bernie! from the rooftops, but we need to not disparage Ms. Clinton. Both the Clinton's have shown a willingness to adjust their positions as the social climate changes and in any event there will 0 laws passed and signed anyway.

I can't believe anyone with a brain would support Bernie Sanders. You guys crack me up.

And before you call me out as a Conservative, I think that everyone on that side of the spectrum is equally r****ded.

Let your feels take over for Bernie!

She's the most accomplished female in American political history.

I might not trust her but I do respect her credentials she's mostly earned herself.

How does he do against Rubio, Paul and Cruz? Because they look like the most likely to me now. Trump and Carson aren't real candidates, and Bush looks dead in the water.

    True.

I think I'll vote for him. Some of his ideas I don't like. But I like his mindset. I think he won't actually be a great or even effective president, but the alternatives aren't too inspiring either.

You should quote some specific Bernie platform issues and say why only the brainless would support them and what real political thinkers would do instead.

(because I think you have been brainwashed by cold war corporatism that has deemed everything 'socialism' bad for 60 years when it's really about the opposite)

Honestly, I don't know how people cannot love Bernie Sanders.

Bernie hits the three biggest checkboxes for me.
1.) He genuinely cares about people and his intentions are help people and not serve big corporate interests.
2.) He is bright and not bound by religious extremist views
3.) He is focusing on the TRUE issues that are hurting this country and not talking points.

I don't know if all of his grand spending plans will work or are feasible, but I do trust him to do the smart thing that is good for the country as a whole. I just don't get that from anyone else.
