So you think the choices are either those three coaches or stay with Mchale? lol That's logical.

im not a mchale fan but even i dont want him gone this soon. it sucks but we have to wait this bullsht out. the nets lost was the first game of a 20+ game stretch vs non contenders. its a good test to see if mchale should stay or ge fired

Steve Kerr will bring 70+ wins this season for Warriors.

I hope we can also hire a competent coach like Steve Kerr.

Mark Jackson was not bad at all when he coached Warriors.
I think he is much better than Kevin McHale.

After Jackson fired, Warriors won championship immediately with Steve Kerr coached.

If a coaching change is going to be made, it has to wait until the offseason. I'm sorry, but that's just not debatable. And expecting anything else is completely unrealistic.

That said, if George Karl doesn't last the year in Sacramento, we HAVE to hire him.

I would like a concrete reason why your opinion is not debatable, lol.

It's been documented over and over and over that midseason coaching changes, in every sport, almost NEVER have a major impact on W/L%. And in fact, they're generally more likely to make things worse than better.

It's the players who are going to be responsible for whether or not we win games. Firing a coach midseason is just pandering to the crowd of "Someone has to be held accountable!!!11!!" morons.

I'll add, the biggest hurdle we've faced, in addition to time lost to injuries, has been lack of continuity going back to training camp. And some of you guys want to disrupt that continuity even more?

    JFC.

This is almost like saying Rockets signed Dwight Howard 3 years too late cuz now he's breaking down.

Any coach that takes a team from NO playoffs (even if a choke job) into WCF (even with a choke job) in 3 years is a successful coach, regardless of the other available options.

So then really this is NOT "Clutch City", and its not Rudy T that gets credit

Essentially, its "Other Teams Choked City" here

Come on, people. I used to not pay attention to the quality level of GARM-talk and stayed away from giving criticism. But people here can get really negative with their grumblings.

It's been well documented that teams who lose the first 3 games of the season by 20 don't win the championship.

Why do people keep saying it would only get worse if we fire McHale now?

This reminds me of the idiocy when Bush was voted president so he could finish the war.

I never wanted jvg or adelman gone bc they did more with less. Mchale does less with more. Mchale is a terrible coach. Extending him was money's biggest mistake. Morey can't get out of his own damn way. Morey morey'd himself.

The thing about JVG and Thibs is that they are well prepared, however, they run their players to the ground. Dwight's tires would be bald come playoffs time, same with Harden.

McHale wants players to play harder.

JVS and Thibs gets players to play harder.

I've personally seen enough. But none of us are calling the shots.

However, I don't think a bunch of games against bad teams will tell us anything about mchale if the Rockets can win a bunch of those games. If we lose them, then yeah....

    100% agreed.

I think Morey has done an outstanding job assembling this team. Especially given what he had to work with.

But Morey is screwing himself by keeping mchale around. He's just not a good coach.

We ain't winning **** with mc****

Might as well fire him now and hire a more capable coach. It doesn't take much to be a better coach than McIdiot.

It may take a while with the new coach but we will still make the playoffs and be better come playoff time and in the long run. That is what matters.

What evidence do we have that it would get better with a November coaching change? Please show me more evidence in the NBA other than the 2012/13 Lakers and the 96 Spurs where this change was made this early, and the team made a deep playoff run?

I've asked this several times in this thread and nothing. We see coaches changed mid-season all the time, but its always with teams that have lost the season already. And typically its just an assistant that gets promoted in the short term (or Ty Corbin lol).

Guys.. I am NOT a Kevin McHale (the coach) fan. But you guys are NOT selling me very well here. Where is the process put in place that you want that will work? Map this S#$% out, and tell me how its going to work.

Oh wait... Morey will "figure it out".... right. No. You guys want to talk about how easy this is for a team...

Let's play a little exercise. I'm the owner. You guys need to map out the plan in place. First, you play the GM, and come up with some good hard evidence of teams that made a change in November that led to not just an improved win %, but I want to see TEAMS that compete deep in the playoffs. I need at least 3. Come up with the candidates. Then come up with a plan for the supporting staff. Let's say we have 20 positions that will either need to be replaced, or re-applied for with existing staff members in coaching, player development, video, etc.

If our lead candidate is a veteran coach that needs to hire his own staff, you need to put that plan in place, and explain to me how that major employee transition will happen. Are you going to fire 10 to 20 people yourself? Lastly, you need to look at the schedule, and map out when the team can schedule sort of mini-camp sessions to go over the new coaches schemes, and sets.

Its so easy to you guys sitting here. You think its that easy, map out this plan for a November coaching change, and sell me on it as if I'm the owner. I can't wait to see how EASY this is for you guys to make happen since apparently November coaching changes, and title runs are commonplace.
