@SportsCenter: BREAKING: Colts QB Andrew Luck is out 2-6 weeks with a lacerated kidney suffered during Sunday's victory. https://t.co/5CyckTm1So
Most of these Thursday night games have sucked. This week looks to be no different. They should just get rid of them.
This one was scheduled for the story. Rex Ryan goes back to New (Jersey) York. It has playoff implications, too. Should actually be a moderately interesting game.
I like that they at least made them divisional games instead of that horrid slate they kept trotting out last year.
F that I'll take bad football over no football every time on Thursdays. Btw Bills and Jets should be interesting.
Was still the highest rated prime-time program on Thursday... if anything, it may even get more money thrown at it. The divisional games can be a double-edged sword... they usually do feature extra implications, but since the big networks will take all the great divisional matchups, you're getting the 2nd or 3rd tier division game for each team. Also, previous years divisional matchups like Ravens-Steelers, 49ers-Seahawks, and Packers-Lions, (Colts-Texans) looked a lot better right after last year where teams were all playoff contenders... vs. this year.
Serious question: why does Rex Ryan get so much coverage and airtime in the media? Even though he's just a glorified DC acting like a head coach. His teams have an average track record and seem to fade away in the playoffs. Plus, he's terrible at coaching offense and developing QBs. Honestly, I don't get the fascination by the media.
