Is the yotaphone not available here yet? Or is it not getting popular? Seems like a great idea to prolong battery life with the ereader screen on the back
I think I'm gonna go with the Moto X Pure. Just seems too good for the price. Being able to customize it and expandable storage is an added bonus.
I have a mint condition Moto X Pure. I just used it for about 4 or 5 weeks waiting for my Nexus 6P. It's the 16 GB version, all black (no wood or leather on the back). I loved having the expandable memory, and the front facing speakers are the best I've heard (much louder than my Nexus 6 or 6P). I really, really love it, but I have the 6P now. If you're interested, I can sell it to you for $350, vs $400 plus tax.
Hmm, tempting. I was interested in a white/black/red design but can maybe pass on that. Yours has the Gray accent I assume? How would you compare the camera and battery life between the 2?
Get the 6P. It's worth it. If you can get a chance to try it out somewhere, you should do it. This really is the best Nexus phone ever made IMO and arguably the best Android phone currently out there right now.
I hated the original Nexus 6 camera, so when I got the Moto X Pure, it was a massive upgrade. As soon as I left Best Buy in Sugar Land to get it, I took a picture of moving cars on the road, and it looked like they were parked. I wish I had the phone with me here at work so I could post it. The 6P has a better camera, but the Moto X doesn't take bad pics at all. The battery life has been good on both phones, but I think the Moto was slightly better. My favorite phone ever was the Note 4, but the Moto X Pure and 6P have both topped it. Also, not sure if you tend to use the selfie cam on your phones, but the Moto X has an actual flash for the front facing camera.
Barring something unexpected, I am planning to go with definitely either the Moto X Pure or the Nexus 6P. I don't mind the size of the 6P because I have pretty large hands; that means it's not a turn-off when considering it. But I have heard nothing but great things about the Moto X Pure as well; the Moto Maker for customization is really cool and I would make a white/red color pattern.
Motorola sucks at updating software though, so if you want the phone for 2-3 years, definitely go with the 6P.
The only gripe about the 6P is having no Micro SD slot, but that's not a deal breaker for me. It has Type-C charging, good battery capacity, and 1st in line for software updates. Because I am leaning towards the 6P, I would just have to order one with a higher storage capacity.
was a pretty interesting idea when i first heard of it, but they always take so long to get it out, and by the time they do, the hardware is considered dated while the price is premium
I'll be coming from a Galaxy S4, so most phones would be an upgrade in camera quality for me. Feel free to email me through the board and we could exchange numbers. I'd like to discuss the Moto X a bit more.
Have been using the new VAIO android. It's okay. I think I'm going back to iphone eventually, but loving the android.
got the 5x, they already sent out an update with some security fixes . marshmellow so nice. im coming fron 4.4 so i like the changes. think i might not root for the first time ever
I haven't rooted mostly because I actually use android pay but so far it's been fine. I'm a bit OCD and would like a little more control over what runs on my phone. I"m a big fan of greenify but without root I can't really use it so it ticks me off sometimes that some apps run in the background that have no need to run in the background but battery life has been equal or better than what I get on lollipop so I'm fine with it thus far.
64/128 are at good value since they're only $50 & $150 more respectively. But then again, it depends on your needs and what kind on content you're going to have on your phone. I think the 128gb is still a pretty solid price given the current market and the competition but I went with the 64gb since I mainly just install apps.
I need a case for this phone ASAP. I wanted to try the official case, but it's been out of stock for a while. Thinking about going with one I found on amazon. http://www.amazon.com/SUPCASE-Relea...UTF8&qid=1447352682&sr=1-11&keywords=nexus+6p
i have a few. -spigen ultra hybrid- daily driver, but worried that entire visor is open although its protected by a rim. -ringke fusion- very close second, but headset jack dust cover gets in the way. -official google adopted quartz- good all-around protection, but power and volume button feedback is suspect. 6p using chainfire's systemless root works flawlessly. have made several purchases using android pay. i've yet to give greenify a go for whatever reason since it's been out. i need to check it out.
I had the ringke fusion for the Nexus 6. I liked it aside from the discoloration over time the you get with clear cases. I may go with that and the one I linked.
Here's a pretty nice compilation of available cases for the 6P. http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6p/accessories/available-nexus-6p-list-t3225377
