The Kings were stupid to fire their head coach last season. He had that team off to a pretty damn good start. If I wasn't worried about George Karl being past his prime, I'd want him here in a heartbeat. There are still plenty of other coaches out there who could do a much better job. Could you imagine what Thibs would accomplish with a roster like this? They would've won by 30 tonight with him at the helm.

Everyone here knows the PF position is what is hurting the team and Morey needs to address the position sooner than later. DMo coming back would help but he is still a month away from coming back and it will take him awhile to get back into game basketball shape. IF the Grizz are seriously looking to trade Zebo the Rockets should be in running for him.

The Nets beat the Rockets with middle distance shooting tonight. This is where basketball games can be won. You're going for quality instead of quantity.

Gotta stop depending on the coach to make it happen. When will the players get mad?

    McHale:
The offensive rebounding killed us. Couldn't keep them off the board. Too much penetration drawing our bigs over. Couldn't keep them off the glass.

    Worried about focus?

I don't know. Somewhat. I'm worried about our team right now. We have no rhythm right now. We haven't put together long runs of solid basketball. Our defense, way too many individual breakdowns, way too many mistakes. Just can't have that.

I don't mind losing! It's part of the game, BUT...what totally irks me is losing to far inferior teams in a continual basis!!! THAT is solely on the HEAD COACH! This team does not have a killer instinct, it plays with its prey and doesn't seem to take them seriously! McHale IS the problem and its time to address THAT problem!!!

Kevin McHale: "I'm worried about our team right now." With good reason. Offense out of sync. Defense showing up only in few late-game spots.

No ****... Harden/Lawson/Thornton arent gonna stop anybody on a routinely basis. But you keep playing them together so I guess he expects them to become something they have never been

Just got home, is there any reason to watch the replay?

I hear my boy Thornton played well, I guess I can watch him.

Wait for Youtube highlights if you wanna watch Thornton. Don't watch that abomination of a Rockets performance.

@Jonathan_Feigen he's been unable to motivate his team to consistently do the little things to win- get back on D, box out, close out

I bet we don't practice defensive drills in practice. No ball just defense and positioning. We did that in my middle school basketball team. The halls were put away unt we mastered our defensive schemes.

    Mchale don't do that

Plus I hear Brook Lopez had a good night, let me guess? No Rocket wing could keep his man in front of him, and Dwight had to cover it up, then no one would box out Lopez.

I still can't believe they lost this game. Losing to an 0-7 team AT HOME??? AT HOME!!! I have yet to see one game so far this season where we played even average defense. So many ISO's, no ball movement, no spacing, plethora of bricked 3's. Our half court offense is literally only 1. Harden ISO's 2. Dwight lobs 3. pick & rolls with a rare made jumpshot. Way to honor the troops by showing them how to lay down on your home turf!

Yeah if they're not outscoring their opponent with those 3 in the lineup playing most of the game it's gonna be a long night on most nights..good point. How long will it take for Harden to understand to change his game when shots are not falling remains to be seen. To be continued

You play how you practice.....The Rockets don't even perform the basic fundamentals which is evident that they don't work on it enough in practice.

Okay... So in 2 months if it's different can I reopen this thread?? I'm not saying they're going to win it all, but I'm sure the team's play will be completely different and a lot better. Oh and you can call me out too, but... Why wasn't everyone b****ing when they beat OKC or the clips (Yes, Paul was out) but remember they also beat the Rockets in game 1 of last year's wcfs without Paul too. Also I mean it's not like OKC made a big guard change... and I know this isn't the 95 team but that guard change didn't instantly happen either... And lastly PF spot is ****ty atm, hopefully that comes together.

Haha, I'll try... But if it's not better in month or two might wait till "next year", haha. You know, our rockets motto since 96...

Yes I do agree on this for sure, either those 3 need to be lighting it up, or they're going to need to play some kind of defense.
