Not trying to make this about my top teams, trying to make this about the committees supposed criteria compared to what their current rankings look like.

I liked what the committee did last year, I'm not really complaining about it, it just looks like the Big 12 is getting the shaft - again - more so based on Oklahoma State's ranking than Baylor's. If beating TCU doesn't mean all that much then beating OU shouldn't either.

I'd rather lose to TCU than Ole Miss, personally. Apparently losing to Ole Miss doesn't count though.

The worst case scenario for the Big 12 is a possible three-way tie for the conference title.

OK St. defeated TCU then if Baylor beats OK St. and TCU defeats Baylor.

If this happens, that very much will eliminate the Big 12 from playoff contention.

Don't think Baylor deserves the top 4 spot...YET.

They still have not played a ranked team...but that all changes very soon and if they beat OU, OSU and TCU they should be a lock.

I can't believe Iowa is 5th. Oh well, they will be destroyed by either MSU or Ohio State in the Big 10 championship game.

    My top teams:

    1. Clemson
    2. Ohio State
    3. Baylor
    4. Oklahoma State
    5. Iowa
    6. Houston

If you've lost a game, then you shouldn't be considered. Not a popular opinion, but that's how I see it.

Once there are 3 teams or less undefeated, THEN you can argue which 1-loss team deserves to be in.

Ohio State hasn't played a ranked team either, and they've struggled with a few of their unranked opponents like Northern Illinois and 4-5 Indiana. Baylor has at least dominated all their crappy opponents (minus KSU).

Let's reward teams who haven't played anybody!

Sooner than later, there is going to be an 8-team playoff that will feature all the champions from the Power 5 conferences and one "mid-major" from the Group of 5.

    *ACC Champions
    *B1G Ten Champions
    *PAC-12 Champions
    *SEC Champions
    *Big XII Champions
*Highest-ranked conference champions from the Group of 5
    *2 at-large teams

It's easier said than done, unfortunately.

Do you really think that Alabama would have one loss if they played the same schedule as your top 6?

This is just a lack of basic understanding of the college system. No context.

You think Ole Miss is better than Notre Dame and TCU?

No, I do not and I don't see how this relates to my question.

That wouldn't be controversial. Notre Dame's schedule is better than a lot of playoff contenders, especially those from the Big 12 or ACC.

You asked if Alabama would have a loss if they played the schedule of the other teams. Alabama lost at home to Ole Miss, but you think they would have beaten teams like Notre Dame, TCU, and Florida State - all teams that teams in his top 6 played and beat. Thus, it seems like you think Ole Miss is better than those teams.

So Clemson and Ok State(Which I put both in my personal top 4 which means nothing). What about the others. Baylor, Houston, Iowa and Ohio State?

If OK St or Baylor goes undefeated, gotta have them in top 4.

I've said from before the CFP existed an 8-team playoff is where everything is headed. Just a matter of time.

Even though part of me will always hate Baylor some, I'm actually a fan of them this year. I've watched most of the games (super cfb degen here), and even though I think they've been great, the schedule is a legitimate criticism. Not only have they not played a ranked team, they have not played a FBS team with a winning record (this includes the loss to Baylor, but you get my point).

And part of the K-State loss goes on Briles for being conservative, or letting up on the gas peddle, or just not being 100% confident with Stidham, so I know the offense can be better. That said, that game was also close bc the Baylor run defense was atrocious. K-State is poop offensively, and they moved it up and down the field with way too much ease.

I'm not a fortune teller, so I have no idea what will happen the rest of the way, but Baylor does deserve to be in the discussion. They'll just have to keep winning and playing better. But any slip up and they'll probably be punished for that awful non-conference schedule.
