I wouldn't be annoyed at Herman pulling out the UH hat and coog sign if I were a buckeye fan. I mean, they did *just* win the national champion, that's the least of my worries
This is all speculation. In the days leading up to the game, Sumlin was constantly asked by the media about other jobs, interviews, etc. His consistent response was "I have not spoken to anyone regarding other opportunities". Do I believe his agent was fielding those phone calls and emails? You bet your ass I do. Do I believe his agent knew what type of job and salary Sumlin wanted? You also bet your ass I do. That is what anyone would and should do in that situation. Nobody knows what Sumlin was exactly doing that week, but I'm inclined to believe he wasn't lying and certainly was not actively interviewing for positions, etc. The game was Dec 3rd. He was hired by A&M on Dec 10th. Plenty of time after the game for that process to conclude. We all knew Kevin was leaving. That wasn't really a mystery. He was the hottest coach in the country. The stories from the players say that everyone was a little uneasy at practice that week. They all knew something was up (just like the rest of the universe) and that Kevin was likely a goner next year. But the idea that Sumlin did something to further that notion is unfounded. Beyond that, the idea that a 12-0 football team with a trip to the Sugar Bowl on the line was so mentally unnerved by this they couldn't focus or "get up" for their conference title game is just silly. It makes the team look weak, and gives no credit to what was a VERY good SoMiss team (the best team we had faced that year by several orders of magnitude). Distraught and confused people simply looking for a scapegoat to explain why we got our asses kicked.
4* WR Courtney Lark commits to Houston. Let's go!! http://sports.yahoo.com/lsu/football/recruiting/player-Courtney-Lark-158624 he decommitted from TCU
Hope we get Tray Williams to follow him. He just decommitted as well from TCU and goes to the same HS I graduated from.
yeah that would be the icing on the cake for me if we got tray williams. i dont think we getting tyrie cleveland after his tweet an hour ago. looked like he took a shot at UH.
So to add to this awesome recruiting class we have coming in, we'll also have transfers Duke Catalon (4* RB Class of 2014) and Ra'Shaad Samples (4* WR Class of 2014) playing next year. Huge influx of talent.
I wonder what the visitor list is for the commits attending the Memphis game on Saturday. Has to be one of the hugest in a long time. Would be nice to get a couple more to commit after the game. Also, LOL at TCU fans acting salty cause we got Lark.
doubt it will completely sell out but only level 300s are available for direct purchase from UH though.
I'm hopeful. All the weather websites I've seen have said it'll be just partly cloudy and no rain. Seems like the temperature will be upper 60s as well. Doesn't get much better than that.
For the record, Lark is most likely going the juco route and I imagine the UH coaches already know this. He wasn't going to qualify at TCU and probably won't at UH. That's the reason he decomitted from TCU and why TCU picked up another receiver a few days before his decommitment (Isaiah Graham). The same thing happened to TCU last year with JF Thomas. Tech fans celebrated flipping a four star receiver but ultimately he never got on campus.
http://www.chron.com/sports/cougars...ceives-letter-from-Heisman-Trophy-6626104.php Oh, it's getting really interesting in the dirty 3rd!
according to joseph durate, walk up sales yesterday was booming. plus i have a friend who works in the ticket office and he said it will be a sell out most likely. they have a system on their computer that can project that. i'll be shocked if it isnt.
So are we rooting for the Cougars to blow out Memphis (UH goes way up in ranking but Memphis is likely out) or a close win (UH goes up but not by as much but Memphis stays in top 25)?
