I literally stopped playing Witcher because I was so overwhelmed. There was too much stuff to do lol.
Yes, you can skip them. You do not need to play 1-3 to play 4. By the time you are done with 1-3, 5 will be out.
Play three to get a feel for the lore and environment/setting of the universe. It helps make fallout 4 mannerisms and nuances seem more natural.
Eventually you will get a home, but until then any box will do. Find a nice easy to get to location, a shed, an abandoned house. I'm using the gas station for now. Any dresser, or chest, or fridge, is safe and your stuff will stay there. Make a duplicate save file just in case, but I've never lost stuff in a storage area.
Thanks. I was thinking about trying to leave stuff at that Rocket station. Sounds like that's what you're doing. Wish I didn't have to work today so I could play.
^ The gas station may be ok, but it is better to leave your stuff at or near your (original) house. I'll avoid any (mild) spoilers and not mention why. Either way, honestly not a big deal.
Charisma used to be the dump stat. Now you need it at six if you want to connect resources. Looks like endurance might be the new dump stat tho.
It took half a day to load! But I start today. I was laughing at the weed induced twitch streams where they were joking that people with OCD should stay the **** away from the game due to the cleanup aspect. And some guys cat tuned off his xbox which was hilarious. I think it will be an epic game and a lot of fun, but at first glance it looks a lot like previous fallout games. It looks like u can build a high ceiling house to keep ur stuff even if made out of junk.
How are you guys allocating the skill points during character creation? I want to go with guns and lockpicking. However I am hearing you dont need to invest on lock-picking because you can take a companion that can open everything for you? Also, I heard that luck should be #1 priority for any build?
I made the mistake of putting just 2 in Charisma since that was the dump stat for previous games. Seems you need a 6 if you wanna connect all your workshops across the commonwealth. Spoiler The leader perk lets you use junk items in one settlement even if you're storing them all in Sanctuary. I put 3 in STR, 7 in INT, 6 AGI, 2 CHR, 5LCK, 4 PRC
I have to wait until Friday to truly dive in, but this whole community, scraping, building, modding setup is pretty overwhelming at first. I got so used to the format from 3 and NV, now I have no clue what to to do with the items. They said this game promotes hoarding and they weren't kidding.
Gunslinger/Sniper/MacGyver This doesn't include the Bobbleheads tho. And you can lvl up a SPECIAL. But I'm doing fine so far at lvl 12.
With no level cap you can theoretically unlock everything and max everything out... by like level 250 or so lol.
