Lot of great acting in this show's run... congrats to Jessie for sticking out like a sore thumb as the worst actor the show has ever seen.
She looked especially good on Talking Dead... seems like she would be pretty fun too. The really bad acting comes from her two sons in the show.
Jessie's youngest son = most annoying little kid in TV history. I'm not really rooting to see child death on TV, but just saying.... if he's gotta go... I'm ok with it.
I thought the episode was semi okay. -I do think Deanna and her son needed some development if they are going to stick around for awhile. The actor isn't great to look at, but she's pretty good. You really have to guess at what she's thinking or processing. Although I would say that she's supposed to be a politician. In a world filled with rednecks, and stupid movie trope housewives, they need to take advantage of the opportunity to realistically show how someone with that background would deal with the people, and the world as a leader. -Jessie, and her oldest son probably needed more too. For what I think is coming next, it will make that situation (if you have read or kept up with any of the comic's you know) much more interesting, and possibly controversial for even TWD. -Glad they showed that this community actually doesn't have unlimited resources of canned food, etc. Also... even canned food has expiration dates... how long can they keep on eating that stuff on this show? Hasn't it already been like 3 years? nit-picking I know, but its time to deal with the food and unlimited amo situation. -For someone that was so important to the whole wolves attack, I thought it was weird that they excluded Carol from the entire episode. Sort of seems like they were trying to avoid paying the actor for just a short cameo or background screen time. -Do the guys leading out the walker pack drive Prius' or something? They've been driving for awhile now? Do they just have unlimited fuel? I guess we will find that out next week. -They are milking the whole "Is Glenn dead" thing.... which in TV terms means he's not dead of course. This showrunner seriously has no balls. Kill the guy and deal with the consequences. Don't toy with your audience and look for "Gotcha!" moments just to prove how clever you are. You're not. Kinda the opposite.
From my standpoint, yesterday's episode wasn't a complete bomb like last week. That's a good thing. Still feels like they are stretching things out, which is annoying. TWD is what it is and won't get any better. Just gotta accept that.
Yesterday's episode was one of the more forgettable since the whole rash of "bethisodes". If they're going to basically have an episode that doesn't advance the Glenn plot line, then I'd rather have it be something character rich like Morgan-Eastman than whatever the crap last night was.
And the emmy for stringing out the most story line out of one singular event is!... Ugh. From Sophia to the Governer battle to Terminus... there have been so many let downs out of so much build up. Don't forget we still haven't found out how Rick got out of the mosh pit of walkers, still a chance to go back and cover that as well. I don't expect the Glenn dead or alive resolution to be any different. Also, at the end was the wall "bleeding" or cracking? I figured it was a small fault from dumbass Deanna banging on the gate.
Lol, the kids and Deanna are the most annoying now... Oh and Buddhist Morgan (nothing wrong with Buddhism), just tired of the show setting up stupid mistakes that should have already been figured out by characters that have lasted the apocalypse that long...
From the brief preview for next week shown during TD it looked like the next one will be; Daryl tripping out in the woods on a vision quest of some kind...
I think this is a show that is meant to binge watch now The time between episodes is now just more time to dwell on the lacking of the previous episodes Rocket River
For real man... I mean it'd be nice to watch these at 1.5x speed or something haha, at least the boring parts. I can't wait for better call Saul to come back... At least brba and saul did a good job on the weekly thing, this show just likes to troll sometimes, haha
morgan is my new least favorite character of all time...so tired of his self-righteous, judgmental, no-kill b.s. his actions are actually dangerous and get people killed. i lost all respect for morgan when his selfish emo-boy act got the other guy bit...of course, the other guy could have killed the zombie instead of getting between morgan and the zombie. probably just bad writing there. they should have had it where it was not morgans fault...like they got surrounded and he sacrificed himself for morgan. it was kind of a "catch-up and reset" episode with minor plot developments. similar to the first episode this season...they cant all be balls-to-the-wall...i would expect some action next week. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/B_3TlrZLpQ0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
