ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Clippers 11/7/2015

I can't believe the Clippers would ever try this strategy. I don't care how bad the opponents FT shooter is, Deandre Jordan is worse. Unless they are content with benching Jordan, they will lose the FT game much more often than they will win it.

This is the going to be huge come late in the season and Playoff time.... Capella will continue to learn and grow, which means Howard can be fully rested..

it looks like the rockets will be playing the blazers in the playoffs again this year. payback time

 

Mchale needs to try something crazy and actually put a PF at PF or Capella/Howard together. Getting out rebounded is a big part of not being able to hold leads

 

Capela's 9 points and 8 rebounds in limited minutes is pretty solid, while Howard put up superstar numbers. If the two big men can maintain this kind of contribution together, the center spot is set.

Not sure what you want McHale to do when both Jones and DMo are out. Or do you think playing Hayes and Harrell more would have been the solution?

 

Could play Harrell/Dwight, harrel/Hayes, Harrell/Capella, Capella/jones

There's a few he could try. Capella harrel to close halves would work very well

Remember a couple of years ago when the Clippers had our number and Harden always had his lowest scoring games against them. Started to change a bit last season when we split the regular season series and then beat them in the playoffs. Harden used to play scared against them but he looked really confident tonight. No Chris Paul definitely helped though.

Hehe yeah, glad to be past those days. Now if we can only do the same in regards to the Warriors.

 

I can see that Harden gif getting a lot of use around here haha.

 

I like Harrell a lot, but he is not ready for major rotation minutes yet. He's got energy and skill, but you can tell he doesn't understand the team's offensive/defensive sets quite yet. (In before the "what sets?" posts.)

It was a good call by McHale to keep Harrell's PT to a minimum this game.

 

I was at this game tonight. Just a great, great win for us.

Sitting among Clipper fans, they were speechless on Harden's play.

I particularly enjoyed throwing the stir the pot celebration at the Clipper fans.
