So many ignorants on this board acting like a GM. Any team would happily sign Dwight to the max

if he's only going to play 3/4 of the season, being paid about 3/4 would be fair

the problem is if you cut him loose then who will you sign? there aren't too many quality centers on the FA or trading block.

What I hope is that Dwight loves it here and signs a one year deal for low dollars with a wink wink deal for the contract afterward. Say a one year 10 million dollar deal, and then a subsequent 3 year, 90 million dollar deal. This opens up cap space for Durant or Horford.

He's moving gingerly and not exploding at all. It's a bit worrisome.

This thread should now be locked. No matter how much you b**** that he can't play all of the games in the RS WITHOUT him the Rockets aren't a contender. Simple as that.

I am pretty much the biggest capela fan in the world but dwight is dwight, no matter what you say this guy is a total beast on his day. Ease him in let clint develop and id love dwight to stay around for another few years. Just gope clint develops and takes his spot down the track

We need Dwight more than ever, and he is doing a fantastic job for us, but we do need him to re-sign with us on a smaller contract, so we can go after Durant or Horford( as a secondary prize).

If he opts in, it's a lower max from previous years

I think he was draggin at times because he's still working himself in game shape but I'm gonna watch the game again and see if I missed somethin but I didn't see it off the eye test

He will opt in since he knows that he won't be getting 20mil/yr from any other team.

Or he will opt out and ask to sign for less, but more years. I think he is doing the former.
