I don't like that Krispy still puts a full glaze on their flavor frosted donuts, chocolate frosted with full glazing is too much when you're actually going for a different taste. Shipley's may not be the best, but they're just good enough that their ubiquity makes them appealing; especially if you ever move to a town that has one, two or literally no donuts.
I can say with a great deal of confidence that next to the breakfast brownie, the kolache is indeed the #1 selling baked good on Shakedown Street in the morning. And yeah, they call it a klobasniki at Magnaball.
Drove by there this morning, I just realized that the line of cars going down Westheimer all the way to the Fondren intersection is folks that are waiting for the friggen drive-thru!!!
A KK glazed has 190 calories. If you can't fit that into your caloric limits as an occasional treat examine your other choices.

New location 610 @ Main St should be opening this month. Already a conjested intersection. The parking lot's space is limited. Whataburger (same parking lot) already stays packed. They needed to build freeway ramps from 90 NB to 610 E and 610 W to 90 S before Krispy Kreme. It's gonna be even worse now.
Not at all. It's best you clean bulk Anyway I don't do this bulking / cutting BS. Want to stay lean and mean all year

Well for some reason you thought I was ducking a question already answered. Not sure why I need to justify my tastes anymore and it was an innocuous point. You keep bringing up how special Texas food is, which is exactly what I was talking about. My original post was not an indictment of Texas food although you obviously took it that way. I don't think Texas food is exceptionally great, nor exceptionally bad because I don't think of restaurants or brands in those terms to start with. I don't care what state it's from, and just because it's from Texas does not make it tastier to me. If it does for you for some reason, who am I to deny someone else's enjoyment? But I simply will not pay attention to said opinions anymore.
I noticed on the company website that Shipley is only located in the South. I think there is a good arbitrage opportunity for entrepreneurs wanting to take Shipley worldwide. Or at least past the Mason Dixon line.
