They are currently 0-6 with this as an upcoming schedule:

All the picks they owe for the next 3 years:

2016 first round draft pick to Boston
    Brooklyn's 2016 1st round pick to Boston [Boston-Brooklyn, 7/12/2013]

2016 second round draft pick to L.A. Clippers
L.A. Clippers have the right to swap their 2016 2nd round pick protected for selections 56-60 for Brooklyn's 2016 2nd round pick (if the L.A. Clippers' pick falls within its protected range, then the L.A. Clippers' swap right and Brooklyn's obligation to the L.A. Clippers will be extinguished) [Brooklyn-L.A. Clippers, 7/11/2012]

2017 first round draft pick to Boston
Boston has the right to swap its 2017 1st round pick for Brooklyn's 2017 1st round pick; if Boston exercises this swap right, then Boston will convey its 2017 2nd round pick to Brooklyn protected for selections 31-45 (if this pick falls within its protected range and is therefore not conveyed, then Boston's obligation to Brooklyn will be extinguished) [Boston-Brooklyn, 7/12/2013]; this potential pick conveyance is the same as the one described in "2017 second round draft pick from Boston" on Brooklyn Credits

2017 second round draft pick to Atlanta
    Brooklyn's 2017 2nd round pick to Atlanta [Atlanta-Brooklyn, 7/11/2012]

2018 first round draft pick to Boston
    Brooklyn's 2018 1st round pick to Boston [Boston-Brooklyn, 7/12/2013]

2018 second round draft pick to Charlotte
Charlotte will receive the less favorable of Brooklyn's 2018 2nd round pick and Cleveland's 2018 2nd round pick and Philadelphia will receive the more favorable of these two picks (via Philadelphia's right to swap Cleveland for Brooklyn) [Cleveland-Philadelphia, 9/26/2014; Brooklyn-Philadelphia, 12/11/2014; Brooklyn-Charlotte, 6/25/2015]; this pick conveyance is the same as the one described in "2018 second round draft pick from Cleveland" on Charlotte Credits

2018 second round draft pick to Philadelphia
Philadelphia will receive the more favorable of Cleveland's 2018 2nd round pick and Brooklyn's 2018 2nd round pick and Charlotte will receive the less favorable of these two picks (via Philadelphia's right to swap Cleveland for Brooklyn) [Cleveland-Philadelphia, 9/26/2014; Brooklyn-Philadelphia, 12/11/2014; Brooklyn-Charlotte, 6/25/2015]; this pick conveyance is the same as the one described in "2018 second round draft pick from Cleveland" on Philadelphia Credits

2019 second round draft pick to Charlotte
    Brooklyn's 2019 2nd round pick to Charlotte [Brooklyn-Charlotte, 6/25/2015]

2020 second round draft pick to Philadelphia
    Brooklyn's 2020 2nd round pick to Philadelphia [Brooklyn-Philadelphia, 12/11/2014]

I just can't imagine the next 3-5 years as a Nets fan. Their only saving grace is attracting mediocre FA that will keep them at best a 1st round team.

They have literally no picks for the next 3 years I don't think

Going all in on a team that was never close to competing for a title is one of the stupidest decisions I have ever seen a team make, in any sport.

One of the worst GM jobs in history, completely gave up their future for washed up and brutally overpaid vets.

Why does Billy King still have a job? That aweful trade will go down as one of the worst in history. He wasn't great in Philly either.

    Wow. Nice thread.
I did not realize this at all. Thats brutal for the Nets. They are literally screwed. For a long time.
And wow for Boston. They're going to be competitive and probably getting a top 5 pick for the next three years.

Have you been to any Nets games?

    I have, multiple times.

There are no Nets fans. People usually cheer for the visiting teams.

They need to see if they can find a taker for Brook Lopez....getting expiring contracts and maybe decent first round draft picks.

Joe Johnson's albatross will be off their books this year.

They're a train wreck. What a joke of a franchise. Gave away the pick that became Damian Lillard and about to do so again this year.

Somewhat surprised by their terrible start, I thought they would at least be the best team in NY. I would expect that Prokorhov has had enough and would be selling the team soon unless he expects Clipper money for the Nets.

The crazy thing is I think he could have gotten Clipper money if they hadn't mortgaged away their entire future. It'll be a minimum of 5 years before that team will regain full value.

They mortgaged their future for the right to lose in 5 games in the second round to Miami in 2014.

The worst thing is they have no incentive to tank.

At least their owner can dunk is banging hot euro chicks every night.

    And Boston?

    They're primed to strike.

Assuming the Nets are trash, Celtics will have a top 3 pick the next 3 years in-a-row? This is Ted Stepien level stuff by the Nets.

The nyets are the reason why moneyball guys like Morey are becoming more popular as GMs, you can't have someone stupid making all the b-ball decisions because they will be taken to a dark allley and robbed blind by the B-ball nerds.

As for the Celtics I think the way they are rebuilding is way better than what Philly is doing, Philly is like taking chemotherapy and destroying the team to get a higher pick whereas the Celts are trying to mix rebuilding and winning like Houston. IMHO the latter is better because this way you can build up your asset base, achieve critical mass and then trade for a superstar whereas for Philly, they ended up trading promising pieces like KJ and MCW just so the team will be bad.

Rather than Philly I think Celts will win quicker, they already have a couple of building blocks and the picks from the Nets will help them a lot.
