After past Shipley threads, I finally had the chance to try it for the first time last year expecting it to blow KK out of the water. I didn't get it. I also questioned my palette for years after reading the rave reviews about Blue Bell here. After reading the recall thread and seeing people realize it's not that much different than any other grocery store ice cream made me realize the Texas placebo effect around here. I can't really take many of the Texas-based recommendations around here seriously anymore.
Trivia question: What did rapper Krispy Kreme change his stage name to due to threats from this evil donut company? And who is his sidekick? Rep to participants.
1) Texas food is better than many places. I've been many places 2) Most places take pride in themselves 3) Tito's Vodka - great and cheap (compared to supposed better brands) 4) Texas influence is nationwide moreso than any state. Must be doing something right. What are some places that disappointed you? Froggy Frog Didn't read google long enough for the sidekick
Added it back, happy? I just deleted all the space after your 4 points in a hurry. If you read my post you would have 2 examples right there. I don't give a sh** if it's from Texas or not. The fact that you mentioned all those points is exactly why I won't take your recommendations seriously, no offense. I think you missed the entire point and your response was perfectly ironic. To each his own.
No offense taken, but you do sound a little hostile. I understand exactly what you said. Obviously I was asking places other than what you mentioned, but whatevs. The fact about Texas' influence nationwide (meaning outside of Texas) should tell you you might be in the minority. And there's nothing wrong with standing on your own. It's just opinions.
Kolaches taste like someone tried to make a corndog with bread rather than whatever makes corndogs look so gross that I've never had one.
