He came from poverty and is an extremely successful physician/surgeon.... however he seems to have a 6th grade understanding of the political issues and no one REALLY knows what he believes.

 

Those stories were written in his book published 25 years ago. Doesn't seem like that would be for political reasons. Selling a book? Maybe.

The real problem with Ben Carson is that he has absolutely no background that makes him qualified to be president and he doesn't seem to have even a basic understanding on political issues. I won't even mention his crazy religious beliefs but the people who are supporting Carson are the type of people who have been brainwashed into despising the establishment so much that they believe an outsider who has no business whatsoever being president is the ideal candidate.

The moral of the story is to stick to what you're good at. Despite being retired, I have absolutely no doubts that Ben Carson could be contributing much more to society right now with his expertise in pediatric neurosurgery than with his knowledge of politics.
