But, but, but according to people on ClutchFans the Warriors were frauds and were lucky to win the championship last year.
I think I've turned the corner with watching Curry play - much like I did with LeBron a few years ago. Eventually getting over the fact that I hate them, and they get stupid, stupid foul calls individually and as a team - to learning to appreciate just how great he is. I couldn't stop laughing at those 3s coming off the pick a couple of feet behind the line. I have not seen anyone in my lifetime of watching NBA basketball not only attempt the kind of shots he does - let alone on a consistent basis - but make enough of them where you're actually surprised when his pull up from 5 feet beyond the arc misses. I'll no doubt hate him with passion another 3 times this year.. but I honestly am finding it harder to think of them not repeating. I originally pegged them as not making it out of the second round - and I know there's a long long way to go... but it looks like all that yapping from people in the offseason has really fired this team up. I honestly think they're going to make a run for 70.
Curry consistently makes 3's with hands in his face. Dude is legendary if he keeps this up. He deserved a seat next to the greats if he plays like this all the way to a championship.
Dude is an all time great already. He will wned up being top 5 PG of all time and top 20 NBA player. Already has a MVP and a ring and has surpassed Nash It's only the clutchfans idiots (who don't know much about basketball anyway and are homers) who will deny this. Curry has taken his game to another level and harden can only dream at this point.
i think this warriors team will be a dynasty for years to come, and curry will def be in talks for one of the greatest to ever do it...
Lol at jvg's analysis of curry after the game (paraphrasing): "key to containing curry is to make him shoot two pointers. Don't let him shoot the three ball off the dribble". With any other player in the nba this analysis would be the exact opposite.
Come on Lebron; help Love up: https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/3rkzpu/lebron_takes_a_look_at_love_on_the_ground/
watching curry play is like watching Jordan play on offense. I'll say it. The thing about Lebron James... is that he can be stopped. I don't know how else to put it. you feel like you can break him mentally or he will cramp up or if you put enough pressure on him, his numbers will be so bad that his team will lose. He's a top 10 player... but he can be stopped. Curry is Godlike. Watching him play, you feel like there is NOTHING you can do to stop him. No strategy. No defense. Literally nothing. If you double team him he passes like a wizard to the open man. If you play aggressive with him, he will draw the foul and he never misses free throws. If you force him to drive, he can hit crazy floaters. And if you give him an inch of space he will hit a three and there is an over fifty percent chance he will hit. Its insane. Its not supposed to be possible. kind of like Jordan floating around dunking for thirty minutes a game. No one is supposed to be able to do that. Curry is an offensive weapon like Jordan. Not only does Curry's passing and scoring threat make everyone else better on offense, but the sheer ease with which they score makes his team better on defense. It takes almost no effort on offense for Curry to dribble up the court and smash a three. So the team has so much more energy on defense. Curry's insane shooting also means no lead is ever safe. All they have to do is get one offensive rebound per possession and they are basically guaranteed three points per possession. Meaning that when they go into crunch time high energy mode, this team can score faster than any other team EVER. Curry's only weakness is defense. He's just a mortal. But if curry plays like this all season... or even most of the season... or just in the playoffs... then he's my all time top PG. Imagine a team with Hakeem, Jordan, Curry on it at the same time. Curry would stretch any defense out to half court and then drop off dimes to hakeem and Jordan. What other point guard could stretch a D like that AND score? Hakeem, Jordan, Curry, Duncan, Bird. As for Lebron... what's he shooting right now? 2/15 3 pointers? As usual his team is carrying his big ass.
The key to beat the Warriors is slowing the game down. Surprised the Clippers didn't go more to Blake in the post earlier in the game. Of course it's easier said than done but a healthy Dmo will do wonders for our half court offense if we face them again in the Playoffs. Spurs should also be able to slow them down with Duncan and Aldridge in the post.
