I'm with you on both of them. Recently saw Stretch directed by Joe Carnahan with Patrick Wilson. He was really good in it.
I loved him in Watchmen and Hard Candy (though the latter is incredibly tough to watch). Haven't seen Stretch.
Best show on tv right now. Another great episode and now it's going to be war! I had food poisoning last week and I took an extra day off work to recover and binge watched season 1. It was awesome also.
Possible spoiler, but not really. Spoiler Maybe I'm slow, but it just dawned on me that the sheriff in season one is the daughter of Lou's (Patrick Wilson) character.
Sometimes it's good to not remember things. Then when you do realize something, it's a nice surprise.
Well, it's Todd mode somewhat a calm character who follows the lead. I think maybe the wife will just tell him he'll have to, yeah ya know, kill the indian, 'eh.
He was on the verge of confessing and it seems his wife is using the money for that r****ded class. So basically she brought him into this whole murder mess and also is about to destroy his dream of owning the shop. Time for Todd to go on a killing spree.
Sorry about the food poisoning, but I'm glad you finally watched it.
View post on imgur.com
I'm at the point where anything that Cary Fukunaga or Noah Hawley do on TV or film, I will watch. Not sure how many other writers I can say that about. Just read that Fukunaga (I like typing that) is doing either a movie or short-run tv series out of Caleb Carr's novel The Alienist. That would be amazing. Great book.
There was a lot of ass in this episode. Todd ass. Gerhardt daughter ass. Gerhardt dad (Colonel Tigh) ass. Lou referenced the case several times in season 1 without giving many details. Actually, he referenced something we haven't seen and will likely be the climax of the season. Here's a reference from season one. Every single character this season is amazing. Even the random butcher shop chick adds something. Even the dead judge was good.
Wow. Best show on tv now and it's really not even close. Great to see Offerman get a good bit of screentime this week. Depending on how this season closes out, I'd maybe put these first 2 up against any 2 seasons of any recent drama: Wire, Breaking Bad, Sopranos, Justified, Deadwood, etc.... Tall praise, but it's deserved.
