It's amazing how fast that change.

It's also amazing that once you're exposed to it, understand it more and experience it yourself, how you change.

You often said no one, when you mean you. In this case, I give it that it's you and USA society norm.

It's what it is. Thing changes and the trend so far is, and hopefully it will continue, as human get more enlighten, gain more knowledge and understanding, ignorance and fear is replaced with understanding and compassion.

This is basically what you are trying to do.....and it's just as weird as it was in that movie. "Fear" and "compassion" have nothing to do with this issue, that's just you trying to cloud what was clearly just a poorly written, poorly thought out ordinance.

I think the media had a lot to do with that.

The media is made up of liberals. They spent years trying to push a pro-gay agenda.

When seemingly everyone on TV in the past 10 years is pro-gay rights (even though the majority of the country may feel differently), you may feel like it's a lost cause and eventually come to the conclusion of "why not just let gays get married... I'm tired of the argument and being labeled a bigot."

They spent years shaming people if they weren't on board the gay-rights bandwagon. That's what caused a change. Liberal media activism.

No category is better than categories because categories are granular. So why not eliminate men and women's and just have for humans bathroom. Problem solved. Well except for those that identify as non-humans but fack them!!!

Why is it okay to identify as another gender but not as another race? Double-standards

This liberal media refrain, no matter how oft repeated, doesn't make it true. Limbaugh and FOX (media members!) have had a huge role in getting tons of people to buy into that as fact.

Media is overwhelmingly owned by large corporations that are in no way liberal. Some individual reporters and members may be liberal (ABC has a few, for sure, as do some newspapers) and others can be conservative (FOX and a million AM radio stations).

Painting in absolutes won't actually advance our national or local dialogue, if you're interested in that.

The ole intolerance of intolerance. Why do you keep going to this ignorant nonsense? Translation: You're dumb.

    Paradox of Intolerance.

Philosopher Karl Popper defined the paradox in 1945 in The Open Society and Its Enemies Vol. 1.[1]

"Less well known is the paradox of tolerance: Unlimited tolerance must lead to the disappearance of tolerance. If we extend unlimited tolerance even to those who are intolerant, if we are not prepared to defend a tolerant society against the onslaught of the intolerant, then the tolerant will be destroyed, and tolerance with them."

It's not even up for discussion that the vast majority of the media are liberals. Newspapers, journalists, ABC, NBC, CBS, Hollywood, etc.

ABC Family has a show about a boy with a transgender dad for crying out loud.

Pundits, actors, journalists, etc. chip away and chip away over the years by pushing a pro-gay rights agenda. Gay people make up only about 3-5% of the population, yet due to the media you'd think it was more like 20% or something.

There is certainly a liberal bias in the media no matter how much you deny it. Conservatives didn't just make it up. Conservative actors have come out and literally said they had to hide their conservatism in Hollywood or they would be blackballed from getting work.

The only conservative areas of the media are Fox News and AM radio. That's it. You basically have to seek out conservative media sources. Everything else is liberal.

Never said it was related as it was specific to your claim that you are all about civil rights and whatnot. One surely can't tell from your posts on various issues on these forums.

When there are legitimate civil rights abuses, I'm always against them. I think maybe you are just confused by the fact that there are a lot of BS posts.
