Well I think that seals it. I guess the ordinance is going to fail pretty badly. That's rather unfortunate.

If they strip the part about trannies then it'll have no opposition whatsoever....but of course that's the only reason they wanted it passed in the first place so I don't expect that to happen.

Trannies are not the only group in this City which can be discriminated against.

I argue making trannies use the facilities appropriated for their actual sex isn't "discrimination", and I'm completely against actual discrimination....which is why this ordinance would be great if they stripped out the tranny nonsense and tried it again.

The disturbing thing is that he's an adult. Yep, an adult with voting power who can carry guns. Frighteningly, there are similar people like bobby in America who are even more cuckoo. The correct term for them is "nut-job"

Did Texas prop 1 pass? The raising of the homestead exemption?

    It did.

Sylvester Turner is a racist idiot. This would be like electing Jew Don Boney, SJL or freaking Quannel to run the City.

But again, the other crop of candidates was **** too. Microcosm of the national politics in this Country.

In Sylvester Turner's case, I guess if you can't beat em, just run enough times to where you're the only candidate left standing.

No on VAT because it's regressive. May be interested in the other things. And no way do I want to let property owners off the hook on real estate taxes, which is the only thing that puts pressure on voters to fix our funding mechanisms. I'd try to patch the education system with supplementary funds and insist on a statewide solution.
