Hopefully this holds. Very glad to see these early results. As a parent of a daughter, of course I'm against this thing.

Even if the voting holds it will be a temporary thing. So enjoy your discrimination against the LGBT community while it lasts.

Thanks to child raping fear ads.

Either way, similar laws are passed in many major cities and it seems Houston will just be behind the curve. I'm warning you though, this will be temporary if the voting holds. So get your kicks in on the LGBT community while you can.

So if a person is born a woman but identifies and looks like a man, you want that individual to have to use the ladies restroom? That seems like it'd be much more awkward/disruptive for young girls than allowing transgender females to use the ladies restroom.

I really just want to understand the logic behind this line of thinking.

It seems like any opposition I hear to this Equal Rights Ordinance revolves around the safety of young girls in these restrooms. If an individual wanted to commit lewd or illegal acts in a public restroom, I'm pretty sure this ordinance wouldn't give them free reign to do so. And on the flip side, the lack of an ordinance isn't going to deter someone.

Maybe they just put forth another version of it with the tranny part stripped and no one would object to it.

    Lol nice try.

Neither Bigtexxx or Bobby cares to answer this. I've asked this about 7 times in this thread and they both ignore and dance around it entirely.

    Either way men like this
    [IMG]
Will be entering the women's restroom except they won't even be dressed like women or look anything like women.

Yep, the times are a-changing and they always are. I guess for some people it's their duty to step in the way of it for as long as possible.

nope -- it would make it easier for them.

    no thanks.

re-write it to exclude the shemales and it likely would pass

Explain how so. It seems to me that people with views similar to you on this subject (which appears to be a large number of people judging by the numbers) would be incredibly suspicious of any transgender individual in a restroom. With this high level of scrutiny, how exactly would it be easier?

Remember Houston is a liberal city -- check presidential or mayoral results. These are liberal "progressives" (LOL) voting against this thing

Some stupid logic there, any ways why did you ignore the other part of his post by the way?

About trans female-to-male entering women's restrooms all the same?

    simplistic view

this ordinance over-reached, and I'm glad the voters were smart enough to see through that.
