Had to be done. Throwing the 3 yard pass on 4th and 4 with the Atlanta game on the line was the low point for me. Even with a talentless team, a good coach at least has inspired troops and can move the ball somewhat. Whiz was horrible and I wanted to give him a chance to develop a QB, but it was just that uninspired.

If you think about how little the Titans offense is on the field, the Titans defense is quite good.

Nah, its still at Wiz... who was the head coach who benched him in Arizona... around the time when Wiz was still able to win enough games to get them to their one and only Super Bowl.

Garbage in, garbage out. You can't win with that roster.

Crazy how that happens when you've used 3 high first round picks on QB's and none of them are a sure thing.

Also usually coincides with a new coach and a new GM.

    Did he have roster control?

    Looks like a terrible roster.

He might not have been for the same reason Rob Parker wasn't an RG3 fan.....

Who was the third? Are you going all the way back to VY?

Their drafts just haven't been good regardless of position.

Considering that Locker was only 5 years after VY, and Mariota is only 4 years after Locker... it's hard to get better if you continue to make the same sort of unsuccessful draft decisions every 4-5 years that contribute to "bad drafts" (and as it is, it takes about 3 years to declare a draft as "bad" or not).

Granted, Mariota may turn out better than the other two (still, not a given)... but then again if he doesn't, they're likely still back here in 4-5 years regardless of who the coach is.

As opposed to all the success teams have by avoiding top draft pick QBs. The Texans have been a fantastic defense spending all their 1st round picks on defensive players.
