I so wish that Calvin would call out McHale, but I know he doesn't want to lose his job again now that he is back with the Rockets.

 

If his heart isn't in this, he should quit. We should only be so lucky.

 

He was starting to get it back towards the end of the second period.

 

Let's hope we don't see that patented 3rd quarter collapse.

 

If rere didn't go small ball this would be closer. How can you defended the paint and rebound against two bigs?

 

I don't get why he did not take any shot.

If he did not take shot, I would rather sign with Rondo.

 

Or he is trying to appear confident.

 

Can you call it a collapse when they're already down 11?

 

Then this idiot let Corey Brewer guards Durant for a very long spell

 

I think some of it is the lack of a real PF right now.

You can't play Harrell at PF because he kills the spacing on offense.

You can't play Jones or Motiejunas because they are hurt.

If you play Ariza or Harden at the 4 you get killed on the boards.



In the line-ups with Ariza or Harden at the 4, the Rockets have done better on offense, but they have given up some second-chance points.

The bad shooting by the Rockets also leads to buckets on the other end.



So I think some of the defensive problems are related to Motiejunas being hurt and the very poor shooting on the offensive end. Last year, the Rockets could get by with either Jones or Motiejunas being hurt because they had Josh Smith who could also shoot the 3 and play some defense. So he could spread the floor and he had some size.




I think the loss of Motiejunas and Smith are really killing the team right now. We need Motiejunas back badly.

WTF is Harden yelling at Howard for on that last defensive possession? He plugs up the Westbrook drive forcing the dish to Ibaka. Then he jumps again and affects Ibaka's shot and makes him miss. Then apparently after all that he was supposed to also jump a 3rd time and secure the rebound? It's Howard's fault that the Thunder are running Ibaka Adams Durant Singler Westbrook while we are running Howard, Brewer, Harden, Thornton, Lawson?

But the bright light for me has been the return of the Beard. Maybe I am being premature, but he's been good on both sides of the ball tonight and has 19 at the half. The patented step back three over Durant was glorious to see. Was getting tired of all the hate directed his way after he carried us last season. Every shooter outside of Curry (lol) has a slump, this was a particularly bad one. But some of the heat he was copping from several posters on here was just disgraceful. Don't bother jumping back on when Harden goes on a tear.

I'm not even expecting a win tonight. I'll genuinely be happier than after the past three games if we lose by 10.

I'm seriously just hoping to see that kind of progress.

I want this to be the first game this season where I haven't turned them off before the game is over.

 

But how do you explain the Rockets winning early last season when they were missing Dwight and T-Jones and hadn't acquired Smith yet?

 

The reason we are getting killed on the boards is Lawson lets his dude fly by him , our big guy comes over to alter the shot and we aren't big enough to box out the big guys man . Our perimeter d is causing the breakdowns

 

I thought Ty Lawson could play ball.. guess I was wrong!!!

 

I cannot believe this Rockets team made the WCF last year. I genuinely can't believe it.
