This is the same mistake that has been going on in the political arena for years. If you just ignore them they go away. No, if you ignore them they convince other stupid people they were right. The stupidity needs to be blasted out there for all to see. THIS GUY THINKS RYAN MALLETT IS A GOOD QB. Repeat it as many times as you can. Make it as big of a joke as you can just like the poster.
The problem I think you have is that you don't pay very good attention. I don't think Mallett is a good QB, I just think he's a better QB on the field than Hoyer is. That's actually all I've ever said. I blame BOB for making us deal with this kind of garbage, he brought both of them in, he set this up. He vouched for both of them as QB's and they both failed, one is a failure on the field, one is a failure off the field. I know, it's probably not your fault that you fail to follow along, someone probably failed you along the way so all I can do is try my best to make you better.
Mallet has a worse QB rating and overall stats than Tebow. He's a bigger failure on the field than off it. He's actually better at using Google maps and alarm clocks, not that he's good at those by any stretch
53.1% career completion % for Ryan Mallett. The guy was ridiculously inaccurate and he will likely never see the field in an NFL game again. Horrible on the field, horrible off the field. Explain to us again how this guy is a better QB than Hoyer.
A large part of those numbers are drops....it's funny how fans make excuses for Hoyer when TE's or WR's drop passes leading to picks or whatever but they don't do the same for Mallett. Anyway at this point Mallett is irrelevant because he's not on the Texans, we should be focusing on Hoyer. Be sure to watch how well he does over the next 6 games and then try to make a case for him over literally anyone. Hoyer's play against KC and Miami before garbage time was 2 of the worst QB performances I've ever seen in my life on any level.
Here is a good comparison. Ryan Mallett 53.1% career completion % 62.7 QB rating. Jamarcus Russell 52.1% career completion % 65.2 QB rating.
Then you're biased Mallet was completely unable to make basic throws or reads 50% completion for 5 y/a and more INTs than TDs is as bad as it gets in the NFL
Wow. I can't believe you're still sticking to it. The worst kind of person - the hardest people to deal with in life - are those that think they know things, but don't, and then pretend that others around them are the stupid ones. Just admit you were wrong, and move on, man. It's totally okay, and actually may gain you a bit of respect around here. And then, if you quit insulting people, it'd serve you better, yet. Clearly, though, you're just a bored kid here to troll people. In your defense, it's worked well. Little do you realize, those that post here know you as the village idiot. I'll await your response, just because it will amuse me. Please don't disappoint.
Again, I don't mind you thinking that I'm wrong....you'll figure it out eventually. The vast majority of posters in the Texans forum know little to nothing about football....so their respect isn't something I'm worried about. Also, just like usual people figure things out eventually even if it takes a really long time. Sort of like how once upon a time there were people like you whining about how I still said that Schaub was the best QB the Texans ever had. Sort of like how people like you didn't realize that Fitz did a pretty decent job....and that it could get a lot worse. If my opinion is unpopular at any given time, it's usually because the majority haven't figured out that I'm right yet. Since that's been the case so often in the past, you'd do well to consider that I'm probably right and you just haven't figured it out yet.
Hell it wasn't THAT long ago that EVERYONE knew that the Texans would draft a QB first overall.....and they thought I was wrong when I tried to tell them that not only were the Texans NOT going to take a QB in the first round, but that they were going to draft Clowney. It took a really long time for the majority of the board to realize that I was right. Sometimes the board is just really slow.
Pretty sure nobody debated any of this stuff. Its universally agreed upon. People like me....get a grip....
Either you have a short memory, or you weren't around then. There were also people who thought that Schaub had another 3 or 4 years left in him the year before it all fell apart in response to me saying that the Texans needed to start to look for their next QB. Again, it's a curse.
Remember when you said before the draft that Clowney wasn't injury-prone and that all of his ailments haves been freak accidents? Remember that?
Yeah. I know you are knee-jerking right now and you are calling him injury prone, but I'm sure you'll forget all about that after you realize that you are yet again wrong.
Remember when you said our backup WRs were the best ever? Remember when you said XSF, Nix, and Strong were fantastic picks and it was good to trade up for Nix and Strong?
The Texans WR corps this year IS the strongest it's ever been....that's not saying much though if you have followed the history of the Texans. I liked the picks at the time, sure, not every pick works out though. Even then, it's probably best to wait a few more years before making a definitive statement about who is a bust though. I'm pretty sure a lot of people would call Derek Newton and Kareem Jackson "busts" early in their career. Same goes for Mercilus....who now everyone seems to think is the next great player or something.
This makes me want to shoot my brains out….lol. Yes, a large reason of why his numbers suck is because receivers have dropped 11 balls that he has thrown. If they had caught those, his numbers would be amazing! Now let me ask you something. Has Hoyer been the victim of dropped passes? If your answer is yes, then wouldn't Hoyer's numbers be even better than they are? If your answer is no, then doesn't that tell you that Mallett's lack of touch is the reason there were so many drops? Waiting to hear your answer because either way, you'll look sillier than you already look.
