Anyway I'm just gonna leave this here. Our quote of the day comes from Nuggets vet Anthony Carter, a former Timberwolves guard, who tells Chris Tomasson of the Rocky Mountain News that recycled Minnesota coach Kevin McHale should "be a lot better" this time around. "It was a learning experience," said Carter, who will see McHale and the Timberwolves on Wednesday at the Pepsi Center. "He didn't really know all the X's and O's, but he had a good assistant coaching staff that was helping him out with a lot of plays. He kind of let us run whatever we wanted. "He was trying to draw plays, and it was like a little Etch and Sketch. Like a kid just messing around. ... He just gave the clipboard to the assistant coaches sometimes."
The players make McHale look better than he really is. If this team makes another deep run, it may result in another extension for McHale. One ex-NBA player stated awhile back that great players do not make great coaches (I believe the only exception to this was Larry Bird). I am with the people that say there are no more excuses for this team. Top shooting guard, top center, great point guard and key role players. This team has all the components to win a few titles. Something needs to change, not just the coach.
21 point lead blown in a matter of minutes. Guess why? Because the offense stinks so much. There are no plays for easy baskets and everything is forced. We got lucky MT hit 3's in the 1st half. When the jacked up 3's don't fall, other team can just grab the rebound and run down the score. This is a pathetically coached team
spoelstra is on his feet pacing the sidelines right now with a 4pt lead while mchale is comfy in his chair
I'm done defending this guy even a bit. Will patiently wait this organisation to piss away our chance at a championship.
I have had enough. Absolutely no point in Morey having such a stacked roster only to see all the talent being wasted by such a lousy pathetic coach. One of the 3 worst in the NBA. Always has been and always will be If you have to get rid of Morey to get rid of McHale, so be it. Something has to be done.
McHale ran a postup play for Ariza in the 4th quarter with the Rockets down 2 and needing a basket. Just think about that before you say we're being too kneejerk only 3 games into the season.
