Why the **** didn't Thornton play the first two games? I knew this guy was a baller all along. Way better than Corey Brewer's scrub ass
Thornton needs to take Brewer's rotation spot. Mchale should feel like an ass for not having him out there until now. They need a shooter in this offense.
Call me a troll all you want and yes Harden has some assists, but he is being selfish. If you cannot see this, I don't know what to tell you. He's trying to shoot himself out of a slump to the detriment of the team. I don't care about him, I care about team and winning. We could've been up 30 if he hadn't dribbled so much and shot horrible threes with hands in his face, early in the shot clock etc.
Harden does start slow shooting wise at the beginning of a season but this is a new low. Iv never seen him miss so many 3s in a three game stretch what's he like 3/35 now? I mean this is pathetic you would think he would luck into atleast 10/35 shooting.
This is the Rockets team I wanted to see. A team that can dominate even when Harden's shot is off. I'm so excited about this team. Sure, some our vets haven't performed as we would hope in the first three games. But Capela and Harrell are performing above expectations. Thornton is proving he's a killer off the bench. Chuck Hayes is back and contributing solid defense and bringing that heart and grit and fight he always brought. And I'm just not worried about Harden, Dwight, Ty, Brewer, Ariza or even Bev. They'll all come back around. Obviously this is just one half of one game and the first two games were bad bad bad bad bad. But I think we're starting to see what this team is capable of tonight.
If we could just fuse Thornton's skill level and Brewer's speed and overall athleticism that would be great.
This is the first year he didn't do Drew League or anything like that. He said he took time for himself for the first time in his career. He's going to be fine.
