I'm expecting a Rockets loss. Miami's always been a bad place for them aside from last season. The real question for me is how bad of a loss.
It will be a win by an offensive explosion but the defence will still suck so in the end the score will be close. Miami so far hasn't played very well and they can't shoot well at all. Whiteside is not reliable.
It was the early November game on national television last season that I first thought last season's team was the real deal. The ball movement was crisp, defense was hustling, shooters were hitting shots, Harden had an all around great game, on both ends of the floor, Howard had a dominant stat line; it was all working. Chance to prove that this current team is the real deal this year. Please Rockets, show something -anything- to prove that we are/can be a top team out West.
The defense isn't great... but it would be better if the Rockets made some shots on the offensive end. It's much more difficult to play good defense when you have to run back in transition over and over and over again because of missed shots.
Heat don't scare me AT ALL. Play hard the way we're capable and we should win. That means shoot well, crisp defensive rotations, and don't be stagnant on offense. Welcome back chuckwagon!
After two games we are DEAD LAST in fg% at.355 and second to last in 3 pt FG%. That is the problem right there WE CAN'T MAKE A ****ING SHOT! Let Lawson run the damn offense, more PNR with Howard/Capela/Harrel all who have great hands. Ariza and Harden need to be on the wings for a three or a drive off the penetration. Instead our offense is just pass it around the top of the key then throw it into Howard for a turnover or a contested three from someone.
eeesh no Dwight either, no back to backs.

Dwight Howard out tonight for first game of back-to-back. Jones also out. Pretty much, 100% agree. The offense right now is just terrible, evidenced by the 20 something % we are shooting. Guys start scoring more and our defense should look better, maybe not all world but not as bad as it has looked.
We can kiss away any semblance of chemistry this season. Dwight in and out like this will be tough to deal with.
No offense to Dwight, but he doesn't deserve to sit out this game after the foul-plagued weak performance he put in Friday night. Not to mention he didn't even play in the previous game.
They seemed to handle it ok last season toward the end. Of course they were playing far better at the time and had Josh Smith to pick up the slack for T-Jones. But I am worried we're looking at another "Yao Ming limited minutes" type of experiment that wound up failing miserably. It also calls into question whether Dwight is worth resigning after this season. If he's willing to take a major paycut, I say go for it. But I don't like the idea of committing 20+ mil a year to a guy who can only play 75% of the regular season games at best.
So Dwight will sit out back to backs this season. After playing two games in the past month, and only like 20 minutes in those two games. Nice. Classic Rockets, please give me something to be positive about smh.
